its just another typical example of how narrow minded and hypocritical christians can be..
but i like this song.. and i honestly (no sarcasm) like relient k..they are one of th VERY few christian rock bands that are in it for the ryt reasons..

this song is actually not that bad. However stephanie your obviosly not a christian and whoever says manson is not satanic just take a look at him. You can't see him and tell me he's not satanic. If he ain't satanic what is he? Stupid's the only other word i can think for him.
Haha, this is soo stupid. | Reviewer: Mitch | 3/10/09
I think we should get all you emotional little girls to wear mood rings.
Wait... Haha!
Give it up, one song does not define a band, nor does a band define one song. They've grown up, moved on, and are writing WAY better stuff now.
QFT: "the lyrics in this song sound like they were written by a carefully supervised youth group of 11-14 year olds"
Give them a break, guys... | Reviewer: a slightly obsessed Relient K fangirl | 1/13/09
personally, I think this song is really cheesy, as are most of Relient K's early songs, but hey, that's why I love 'em. =P MatTy himself said he's embarrassed by this song whenever he hears it. They weren't bashing Marilyn Manson, but rather just using him to get their point across.
and just to point something out, whoever said they hope Relient K keeps going with songs like Must've Done Something Right, they probably will seeing as how that's their most recent work, and this song was on their very first CD.
Well, | Reviewer: Stephanie | 6/24/08
I think this song is fucking rediculous. It's pathetic writing and a horrid representation of Christians. Why would they write a song like this? It's fucking stupid. I bet Manson got a kick out of it, though.

I have to say for a christian rock group this was a sad and poor effort as far as songs go, never mind how horrible the video was. The lyrics were short, mundane and boring. It also speaks out against a pop culture icon that christians believe to be satanic but isn't. It is only fair that you leave these arguments to the church rather than dragging them into your song for popularity. I hope Relient K keeps it going with must've done somehting right, be my escape and who i am hates who i've been. This song was proof that they can produce the worst crap that makes music lovers disrespect christian bands. *goes back to his Skillet and Thousand Foot Krutch until the annoyance wears away*
Well.. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/16/07
I agree with ^^^^^ calm down people, I love RK but I also like a couple of MM's songs, but on the whole.. you must admit he is a bit odd =/ lol. I think it's a good lesson for people, and to listen to lyrics of songs carefully, becos you can never be too sure what they are meaning.
Thanks xx
it's called sarcasm, kids | Reviewer: Megh | 5/15/07
RK is not calling Marilyn Manson satanic or saying that he's an evil human being. The song is about an ex-girlfriend who once believed in God and has now fallen away from Him. The whole idea behind this song is that she got wrapped up in pop culture and no longer worships God or considers herself a Christian. And yes, the lyrics are a bit corny, but this is from RK's first label released album and it's songs like this that made me fall in love with them in the first place. They are always using pop culture icons and puns in their songs, especially in their early stuff. Marilyn Manson just happens to be the icon they chose to get their point across because of his image, not as a personal attack on him. I happen to love this song and it makes me laugh whenever I hear it because it is so ridiculous. So before you start bashing a terrific band for their music and lyrics, you should try to understand them and where the band is coming from. Thanks.
