The Reviews about Mookie's Last Christmas (page 1/1)
------ performed by Saosin

Always love this song | Reviewer: allison Lee | 9/16/09

It's about Justin's (Lead Guitar) dad who died in a car accendent while watching the band on tour (Justin was 19). The song title "Mookie" is Anthony's dog but it's really about Justin's dad. Note: "Bursts of red and green all over me" as the stoplights, "The feeling that you were honestly gone, I can't shake it" as in someone dear, is truely gone.

my favorite line is "Sad overwhelms my senses drown oh I feel dependent" really intense.

GREAT SONG | Reviewer: Brandon | 1/25/08

Definatly One Of The Best From Saosin,But Hey They Never Have Bad Songs!!!Great Guitar Work As Usual,And Like Matthew Said The Drums Are ALWAYS Kick Ass,But There Best Song Is Playing Pretty For Baby No Doubt,Good Lyrics The Song Is very Hard To Understand,So Good Job.

One of the best songs by the current Saosin line-up.

Bass for this song is all in drop-d tuning, and even though i'm not much of a death-metal fan, he makes this tuning setup sound so so good.

Vocals are top-notch as with drumming (as always).

Not much to say about the rythm work, but it is still good, I favour the bass-work in this song.
