The Reviews about Seven Years (page 3/ 7)
------ performed by Saosin

totally legit | Reviewer: Jessica | 7/25/08

Everyone sees this song different which is a good thing, after reading some of the reviews I can understand the different ways people see this song. Only one major mistake someone had said. This band is not an emo band, one emo band would be Hawthorne Heights, Saosin would be the genre of hardcore.

great song, thanks!

weird- | Reviewer: Christian | 7/20/08

i absolutly love this band- they never cease to amaze me- but this song for me sounds like an account of one left behind during the tribulation- the 7 year period in which the devil will reign in the world, and everyone's one final chance to repent- "seven years the holy ghost had left alone"- sound like he regrets ignoring the advice of a christian friend who was taken- maybe im crazy, but this is what I heard from it..

what i heard | Reviewer: jay | 5/24/08

i saw an interview that anthony said a girlfriend he had was breaking up with him. He told her he couldn't live without her and she was the only one he could ever love. she said they were young and "in seven years none of this will matter" anthony said he wrote the song seven years to the day of her breaking up with him

bad ass song | Reviewer: Matt | 5/25/08

you guys are all wrong, this song is about anthony green leaving saosin after they signed a seven year contract with capital records. He didn't want to get on with a major record company so he left and started circa survive. Read the song its like he's saying goodbye to saosin. "I will find a way with out you" you meaning saosin.

=( | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/30/08

awwwwsum!!!! | Reviewer: Phil | 2/21/08

fucking sucks that they got a different singer after just one EP ,not that their new singer isn't awesome he's great I just think that he was a better singer for this particular band-but anyway I love this song and listen to it every day

beautiful | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/18/08

To me, i will always think of this as a song about a lost love.
this is a beautiful song that many people have different emotions associated with.
I saw Saosin live but sadly it was with their new singer who is a really good, and a nice guy, but he just isn't the right man for this song. He left most of the singing for this song up to the crowd during te concert but did great on the other songs.

I love this song and this band, and circa survive, go out and support them all if you get a chance.
You won't regret it.

MY FAVORITE SONG THAT I PLAY EVERY DAY :)

The song is about a guy that was unsure of the person he is dating. The girl keeps telling him that it will be ok, and after seven dates (a perfect number, more of a metaphor) he is still unsure. It is about that discernment and the guy saying sorry to the girl that it isn't her fault, but his. He broke up with her but realized it was a bad idea. He is "so sorry" and it was a "golden mistake". His eyes were "stapled shut". It is an apology song that came from Anthony's heart because he broke the heart of a girl he later learned he loved.

mor lyk a luv song... | Reviewer: emoscreamo | 2/3/08

This song is one of my favorite emo songs ever!!!
Not that i disagree of what others believe in but i think dis song is more about romance...

"the holy ghost" is the guy who was brokenhearted...

"I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m not sure
Getting off my chest, the story ends."
'getting off my chest' means that his relationship with the girl is gone...

"I would find a way without you
tell him his eyes see too clear"
he will try to live his life after what happened, and the 'tell him his eyes see too clear' is sang by the screamer so he is talking about the guy....(not about another guy, just to be clear)...

"the mistake was gold" means its his biggest mistake in his life.....

"Don’t treat me I’m to blame
(I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm not sure)"
...he is not sure if its his fault, but he is apologizing....

well, that is it....I don't really think this song is about Christian faith since Saosin is not a Christian band,it is more an emo band...but whatever you believe in,it's up to you...

awesome | Reviewer: chris | 11/4/07
