"A Coma" | Reviewer: Andrew | 4/14/08

In the song they are constantly mentioning coma, never ending sleep, and someday waking up. These are all metaphors for feeling helpless and useless. "Someday i will wake up" is a metaphor for being able to interact successfully with life again. Senses Fail has some of the most complicated lyrics i have ever seen. If you listen to Story of the Year, they both have very similar writing styles, in which they use metaphors. I believe the point of metaphors is to really get people to look past lyrics and think about the song. Many of their songs involve trying to find a meaning in life. This is the first song on the cd that opens up to these "searching" songs. Go back and listen to the whole cd with this in mind. Confusion is by far their favorite thing to write about, which may explain the homosexual part XD. Hope this helped!

Gyea | Reviewer: Rayne oF Blood | 3/25/08

The songs not necsesarily about homosexuality but is an example of one of the situations where you cant get up and do what you need to or say what you need to say.. or it could be about being gay.. suppose some band had to do it eventually haha..

Good Song. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/16/08

I found this song on Guitar Hero 3 and I really like it. So what if the music video has two guys kissing, there can be a billion ways to see this song. But I see it as life is hard, and you always lie to yourself with out even knowing about it to make live a little better. Plus I love the tune of it!

Why?!?! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/5/08

Why are people so focused on the music video?!?! I don't get it!! "OH MY GOD TWO GUYS KISSED!!" Because being gay is something TOTALLY new to our society (please note the sarcasm). The video helped to show a side of what this song is about.

Please note that a song can be taken a number of ways, music means something different to everyone.

But for me, this song says alot. It's all about living this lie in an attempt to be happy...and not realizing your lieing to yourself until it's too late and you've lost everything that you loved. "One day I will wake up and realize I made up everything" to "One day I will wake up and realize I gave up everything" that says it all to me.

Then again I did stumble across this song during a time when I was ending a very serious relationship in which I had made a lie out of myself and my life so alot of this song I took and applied to my own life....which is how I think it should be.

Anyway...stop obsessing over the video...it's just two guys kissing. Brokeback Mountain had alot worse. And being gay...isn't anything new...

What it is! | Reviewer: Jonna Kunselman | 2/9/08

I really liked the song followed by some of there other good ones like calling all cars. It made me think about a lot and it was similar to my lifestyle. The lyrics were also correct the whole way through. Nice job for whoever published them.

its not about getting drinking and partying. the song is about two guys that have been hiding the fact that they are gay, or bi. because they knew that people would start to discriminate them. but at the end when they were at the party, they got drunk so they ended up showing their true side and just kissed each other and were totally shocked when they did.

Good song. | Reviewer: *%#*#@! | 1/12/08

Yeah over all this song is pretty good.
Its just too short, and noone would really understand the lyrics.
But overall its a great song =]
*****!

Can't be Saved | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/14/08

The music video is about a teen who lives in a place of hatred and prejudice. Lets call this place America. This teen "makes up everything" to try to fit in to society. He realizes though that as his friendship grows with his buddy (Teen B), he may not be what he was "forcing" himself to be. He is a closeted gay who lives his life appearing to be a heterosexual to gain acceptance in the society. In the end though, when he gets drunk, he becomes a risk-taker by taking his friend, Teen B, to the lifeguard tower and revealing his true feelings to him...

Truth | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/6/08

I believe this song is not about being drunk or alcholism. I believe this song is about finding out who you are and what you're made of... not necessaly (however u spell it) being gay. Like in the begining he says "follow your bliss..... it read on my chest... I know I got it tattooed for a reason.... why can't I just hold it true". This phrase is showing either he's not strong enough to hold the words to himself or he's not responsible so as to keep the words with him all the time, so he gets them tattooed to his chest. Like I gotta tattoo of the cross on my arm because it makes me realize that I need to do godly things and without that tat... imma devil. THAT'S JUST WHAT I THINK.

Awesome. | Reviewer: Lucy | 1/4/08

This is an amazing song.
I don't really care about the lyrics but it has an awesome tune.
It's very catchy.
I love it.
And ive been a big-ish fan of theirs since I saw them @ Taste Of Chaos a couple of years back.
