Nice to Hear | Reviewer: Tom | 10/14/2008

It's sort of a sad song, because realizing that you've been wrong and misled can be hard to deal with. But at the same time he says "I'm getting up from off my knees, the guilt is gone and I can finally breathe." To me, that's very positive - having the burden of a faith which teaches you that you are not the source of truth or power in your life, lifted off your shoulders is amazing, and it will only make you a better person.

It truly makes me happy to hear of people who were once religious but came to realize that there are some answers we just don't have and perhaps we never will. Once you accept that, you remove so many of the barriers that stand like a chasm between people.

So really, I like this song for the juxtaposition of sorrow and happiness. The word choice is also spot on, like "I buried my cross with a rose" and comparing an altar to a table for a magic show. Very cool.

emotions.... | Reviewer: musicislife | 11/8/2007

Songs like this play with your emotions. I like this song a lot, but I found it hard to listen to after I got a girlfriend because the lyrics were the exact opposite of how I felt =/. Still, a great song though, and it's fuel for the fire if you're feeling alone in the world....

calm | Reviewer: DiE | 7/2/2007

this is a very straight forward song...no confusion here. its very depressing...
