dude... you took those words straight out of my brain... this song reminds me exactly why, before i ever even HEARD OF hip hop, i was banging my fukkin head. dont get me wrong. ill always love rap. strange music baby! but tech said it himself, "Like I aint got ties to the 56 block/ real niggas that'll kill you; listenin to Slipknot!" if you dont know what im talking about. then you dont need too.

Duality is my theme song, though I like many of Slipknot's works. I have been put through the WORST kind of hell by a man, and the lyrics just sum up what's left of me; what's been done to me. I can FEEL this song! <3

im not sure if you have ever listened to older slipknot but you surely have no idea about what the band is all about. everything they do is about their fans and making them feel like they are not alone that other people go through the same exact things that you are. you solely focus on if the pain goes on im not gunna make it but completely miss on the entire part of speaking your mind which suprise suprise you did. if you cant handle the mature song writing of this band and their songs and think that it is "whining" than dont listen because there is proof that this band speaks to people and the what 80,000plus fans that showed up from all over the world to watch them play download festival last year proves that. i would love to see anyone try to match that not man can

i luv this song!! its soo awsum...joey is a great drummer...he's da best! but....der's this chick on youtube...i mean wow..she is fukin awsum!! jus look up "meytal cohen" on youtube and it'll show her..i didn't and couldn't believe that it was her..she was freakin awsum!! almost as good as joey but i ain't so sure if she can play upside down...i'd say joey is stil THE best! anyways...yea slipknot is awsum!! (R.I.P. paul...)

but the lyrics.... not as great. they're not bad but i feel like they don't fit the awesomeness of the song's music. the only gripe i have is with words like 'pain' and 'ache' because, yeah they're hurting, but how and why didn't the lyricist show us his pain/ache? that's the only gripe.
otherwise, this song is awesome man; listen to it with your sound system turned up all the way!

I'm sorry to Slipnot fans... I don't exactly know what to say. The lead singer is stating that if the "Pain" doesn't stop... he's "not going to make it."
Not exactly motivating, sounds like he isn't very mentally stable or strong... but I guess his hyper masculinity and mask makes him cool? I guess it's funny that so many people hold instable people so highly.

slipknot are gods I was listning to slipknot I was 7 ( now Im 15 ) and always like them... but I hate the mother fuckers who listen to songs of any metal band and say" fuck there faggets I a can do it to" and all that other bullshit. My point is if you mother fuckers dont like the band WHY do you bother even listning to it. To finish Duality is one of my fav songs of slipknot

WTF?! Are you serious? That has to be the lamest thing you could come up with to say. Obviously not a fan, so why bother to post a review? Trying to impress someone? Hypocrite. They hate people like you! "If you're 555, then I'm 666" rather be damned than anything like you disgustingly plain, ordinary people. Duality is the song that introduced me and MANY others to this diverse and immensely soul-satisfying group. Then got blown away by earlier stuff. The Subliminal Verses opened new doors to reach other "freaks" and "maggots" and we're all grateful. So, GO AWAY worm.

This song (along with Psychosocial) will break even the most hardcore rap/hip or ANY other genre fan into a maggot. There's something about it, maybe the atmosphere, that is euphoric as fuck. I don't think there is anyone else who knows Metal like Slipknot. They're geniuses... Maggots4Life!

It's actually about repressing anger and how there seems to be this second personalitty that we hide deep inside.
But some assholes keep pushing us and all this bad shit we try to repress and keep in check like anger and hatred just seems to want to come up, te line ''i push my fingers into my eyes'' clearly points to him trying to stay cool but if ppl keep fukin with him he might just burst!!!

Great song, Been a Maggot since the begining and this is one of the better songs. Thats why they do it live with the rest of there great songs like (SIC), Wait and Bleed, and surfacing. And if your lucky enough to have them perform Spit it Out, just remember to get your ass down on the ground, and wait till he says "Jump the Fuck up"
