Hey is that really necessary? I mean I agree about the plural meaning of the song but does it mean that anyone elses personal inturrpretation is wrong. I mean shit to come out here and blast someone like that is no where near the amount of class one would expect from a Slipknot fan.

Okay. Just because this song wasn't written about one singular person doesn't mean that they can't hear the words and interpret them to match their own feelings about anyother topic.
Yes, so this song was actually written from a political view, but that doesn't mean that someone else can't take that feeling and apply it to themselves and their own personal problems.
That's why music is such a great form of art. You can take it and manipulate it into something that has meaning for you.

Alright. So judging from this you neither understand the concept of Christian religion, nor the lyrics to this song or the band in general. For one, you can be a Christian and still like slipknot. For two, slipknot (and the lyrics therin) are really for people who have actually been through shit in their lives, as that is what many if not all of their songs are about. If you can't understand them, then you either seriously lack interpretation skills, or you have led a very, very, simple and uneventful life.

You people really need to chill out, I love Slipknot just as much as you all do. But this whole lyrics issue is not something to bust a nut over. If you don't like the damn lyrics then go to a different website....Maybe something more original. It dosnt make sense because you dont take the time to listen to the music. and this would probly make ALOT more sense if you understood and have been through the stuff, and emotions that the songwriters are trying to express. and what are you talking about saying that there is no meaning or effort??? LISTEN TO THE FUCKIN SONG AND THE MUSIC. those lyrics give off enough meaning and effort to leave what you have done in your life in the dust.

Look up the meaning of 'calcification' and 'limescale.' It's very significant, and has a classic E. A. Poe sense to it. In fact, the calcium and lime references are probably as close to Poe references as you can get.

dude I like slipknot.. I listen to it often and like I said I like it... but why would anybody get so pissed when someone says something about a band he/she loves? come on be realistic! no band is worth that much... and why waste so many words... you just took a piss upon yourself dude.
