sum things i agree and disagree with. first, i fuking love slipknot and i always will. i understand that all hope is gone is not really what true maggots expect. its not headbanging musik like in the past but the album is still raw as fuk.songs like psychosocial, sulfur, wherein lies continue, r still badass songs.their more melodic and slipknot stays true with their meaningful lyrics. they dont tlk shit they send a msg. like when i think about my fuking whore of an ex girlfriend i listen 2 blackheart

i just listened to the new album "all hope is gone" on aol music and was sorely dissapointed. now granted when your first three albums are as good as slipknot, iowa, and subliminal verses, it's hard to keep it going. however i feel slipknot could have put out something better than this. all hope is gone lacks subliminal verses great individual songs, iowa's pure facemelting power and slipknot's raw heaviness. it's nowhere near as heavy as theyve proclaimed it is and the individual songs feel weak, ununified and in several cases unoriginal. slipknot can afford to play the same tricks if they are going to play them well, but they dont do that on all hope is gone. it doesnt help that slipknot hired dave fortman as producer. fortman's style is to produce when the artist says so. what happened on all hope is gone is that slipknot pretty much fell in love with what they wrote, mostly because alot of it is very different from their past work, and trust me when a band pulls off something new so easily(which generally means they didnt put in enough effort) they will always be happy with their material. this happened on mudvayne's lost and found, also produced by dave fortman. now something interesting comes out of all this. slipknot decided not to work again with rick rubin, who produced subliminal verses, ironically because he wasnt hands on enough. rubin's most recent production is metallica's new disc "death magnetic", due out in two weeks. my prediction is that both all hope is gone and death magnetic will reach #1 on the charts in their respective debut weeks. however, i beleive death magnetic will have stronger debut sales, sell better overall, have bigger hits, and will probably get better reveiws. as for slipknot, theyll be kicking themselves for letting rick rubin walk away, more because of weak sales than because of bad reveiws which slipknot may not even get because the music press is generally pretty dumb when it comes to heavy metal. i hope that slipknot makes another album though all indications are that wont happen. until then, do not buy all hope is gone. death magnetic should be a far better investment.

Slipknot is so hardcore awesome. What people need to do is stop worrying about what they think on religion. I highly doubt that they are satanic, but i really dont think they think to high of religion. Nevertheless they get their point through with their lyrics that they dont care about what people think they are. They just play for anyone who will listen.

I absolutely love Slipknot, i just saw them in concert and the energy is theraputic for me personally. It's funny because when i tell people i am a huuge slipknot fan they look at me and are like 'you don't strike me as a slipknot fan'. what just because i don't dress a certain way and i act however i feel? ha i love slipknot because their songs hit my heart and make me feel emotions, most importantly i can let my anger out in a HEALTHY way. and just because i don't believe in the catholic churches beliefs doesn't make me a devil worshiper! it just allows me to think outside the box to ANY possibilities since anything is possible. I love the diversity of slipknots song lyrics because their songs are diverse and they give so many 'sounds' and options depending on your mood and what you want to hear. I LOVE SLIPKNOT!

i dont have much to say on the topic of slipknot being satanic. i like to listen to them and i'm not satanic.i dont believe that they are related to the devil in any way,and even if they are then why cant christians make better music? i just heard one of those comercials with the christian rock best hits and i can honestly say that it was the worst music i've ever heard in my entire life. i actually decided to put the TV on mute it was so bad. my point here is that if slipknot is satanic then maybe i am too cause i'd rather listen to them than christian "rock", if that's what you want to call it.

ive read reports about slipknots new album and slipknot says its gonna be really experimental acoustic guitars alot of melody all that stuff. what corey taylor couldnt do all that with stone sour? i think at this point we need to accept slipknots best work is behind them their debut album iowa even subliminal verses wasnt that bad. of course with subliminal verses we could see this coming that album was kind of like ok they did something new and it was pretty cool but they shouldnt take it any further. it obviously didnt work out that way. well maggots what do we do now? the focus of all our energy is gone. we could always turn our attention to older forms of metal start worshipping metallica or slayer or something. nah fuck that. slipknot rip. maggots never die.

bouboka is pretty out there. i dont mind people being christian but all this stuff about the devil controlling media is absolute bullshit that we just dont want to hear. and im really sick of people sayin slipknot is satanist. they are not satanist and if they are so what? ever heard of something called religious freedom? and you know we gotta put up with all these christian bands stuffing their religion down our throat this is just the outsiders getting back at the mainstream. you know who they are: these innocent christian girls decked out in hollister who listen to nickelback or hannah montana. slipknot is our weapon. I know people think that slipknot is a satanist group and they have good reasons to say why they're satanist...like in the heretic anthem "If you're 555, then i'm 666" i guess that imposes the Devil in their work. If you don't want any inplication with the devil well then i suggest reading the lyrics of songs before listening to the music itself...i know because that has happened to me too. I listened to Slipknot all the time then when i went on google to see the Joey drum solo i saw the upside down 5 pointed star and that's another sign of satanism and so is the refrain in the heretic anthem. Not all slipknot songs are satanist...i'm just saying be careful with what you listen now a days because the devil is having more and more influence like in games music movies and everything else...I say for those who don't want to have anything to do with satanism to know what you're watching or listening to and know if it's good or not. I still listen to slipknot it's just that i read the lyrics for the songs beofre i listen to them. BE CAREFUL!!!"

Maggots for life! I happen to be a big fan of the band Slipknot. I love their music, and I think they're really good.
But, I happened to notice Boubakas post. Which made me go WTF. Thank you "Savior" for giving us the warning? I appreciate that your trying to deter people from being, "evil". But People have their own minds, and they can do what ever they want. WHAT EVER THEY WANT. They don't need other people to tell em' what to do. Unless its uber serious. So.

slipknot is one of the most talented groups ever known,some people cant even organize a band with 3 memebers and thier doing it with 9 better then anyone has ever tryed there will never be another band like slipknot

Okay for everyone whos askign about them if they've broken up! They havn't they're in the middle of writing a new album, Its all in kerrang, i buy it weekly so. But corey says they've already wrote about 7 songs so far and it's gonna be out alter this year =]

to answer tims q slipknot was on a break so corey could do his thing with stone sour which i actually think is the better band of the two but they will be back with a new album later this year. but the real topic of this post about slipknot being beyond numetal what is numetal anyway? the bands that fall into that distinction are all pretty diverse at least the ones that came out after slipknot. slipknot is pretty good but stuff like mudvayne or stone sour i think is better but thats just what i think. if you wanna revoke me of my maggothood go right ahead.

I don't see why everyone calls them Satanic. Just because they're music is loud head-banging music, doesn't mean they're Satanic. The only real way you could call them that, and know it's true, is if one of them actually conferms it. Also, Slipknot isn't music for posers. They're one of my favorite bands, but I have my own style and personality!
