ROCK GODS ALWAYZ... | Reviewer: Athina | 7/10/09
Staind is by far my favourite band!! I still remember the first time i ever heard them on my radio at 4:30 in the morning just lying on my bed trying to get to sleep and just the first few notes of the song hit me like a speeding bus! The song was its been a while, I knew from that moment on they were the best no matter what other people say or think of them! Its been a while made me go crazy, i was jumping on my bed up and down like a crazy person just thinking FINALLY a song that relates to me perfect! I listen to that track everyday and can never, ever get sick of it!! Its even better than the rock ballards November Rain and Knock on heavens door by Guns N Roses. When Aaron Lewis sang its been a while, i knew exactly what he was thinking and remanising when he wrote it. To the band STAIND rock on and live on! Dont listen to anyone who tells you to change or how to write your music, its not what they think, its what you guys think! Keep at what yous do best... and that's being Staind!! xx
their time has passed | Reviewer: ben | 11/23/08
staind's new album the illusion of progress has some pretty good material on it. the problem is that alot of it sounds the same. most of the songs are midtempo power ballad type songs. i think if staind had written some heavier faster stuff to counteract the ballads illusion would have been a better album. staind's had alot of trouble i think in being able to make a good album. break the cycle is the one exception, that album characterizes everything good about staind. aaron lewis has i think gotten more artistic as a lyricist since that album but staind because they arent different in any glaring way needs the brutal honesty that aaron brought to earlier material.staind has still had some good songs since break the cycle, like so far away, beleive, right here and falling. overall though i think that staind's time has passed. aaron doesnt have the demons to excorcise that made the early stuff great, so there really isnt too much left to get excited about when it comes to staind.
AWSOME!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/22/08
staind is the kind of band that sucks you in like a magnet and continues to achieve that at a greater level as their albums keep producing. Aaron and his band are not musicians, they are artist. . Their albums are way more valuable than a picaso painting, i think. . . keep it up, you guys ROCK

I think you guys are forgetting that Aaron has grown up, he has different things to say to people now. He has three daughters and a wife, so in turn he won't be writing anything in the way of the songs Open Your Eyes and For You. I still give Staind MAJOR props because through all of it, whether the music is "softer" or "raw" they still kick ass and the lyrics are in another world in themselves, just beautiful. So for all of you wanting heavier stuff with tormented lyrics behind it, listen to older albums, get your fill with that, because now everyone has grown up and has a new things to say. STAIND IS AMAZING, I love them no matter what they put out, cause it's not about loving one song to death, it's about loving one band, as a whole, to death. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW ALBUM!!
Never Forgotten | Reviewer: Corey Rinker | 5/8/08
I just wanna say that this band is the best group of musicians in the world in my eyes. They can play a variety of good quality music with lyrics that make you feel that someone else understands in the world, along with the music that helps create the emotion and feeling of the song. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with the rest of the world. It helps some make it through the day.
Rock on guys | Reviewer: Cory | 2/27/08
All that Staind has done so far has been amazing, there changing as the years go by, and it's not a bad thing, Aarons voice just keeps getting better and stronger, and his lyrics keep getting more meaningful..you couldent get a better song then "Home", and his remake live of pearl jams "black".. it drives me nuts... Love you guys, can't wait to see them soon
they need to get back to where they were in 2001 | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/27/08
staind was good early on with dysfunction and break the cycle those albums are amazing but their last two albums were awful. 14 shades of gray the title sums it up they got too generic i confused them with nickelback when i first heard so far away also they got too happy but thats what happens when your tortured inspiration runs out. chapter v was too soft. staind wasnt built for the longterm. im hoping their next album is heavier and that they can strike a nerve with their fans emotions aaron doesnt neccessarily have to be personal actually he shouldnt be cuz that was one of the things that ruined their last two albums aaron needs to tackle stuff that is personal to everyone. thats what staind needs to do to get back to where they were in 2001.
