The band was Submersed, and the lyrics that replayed through my mind for the next week was Hollow. Since then, I have become a huge fan of Submersed. Many of the songs seem to fit my life. Searing vocal performances, crunchy yet brilliantly refined guitar riffs, wonderful bass lines, and great groove-based drumming. Their debut was phenomenal to me. Not many bands have a debut album where the level of playability of their songs is so consistent. Each of the songs on this CD are worth listening to over and over again.
