The first time I've heard this song, We Live, was on the radio station, Star 99.1..awesome radio station, by the way..it's a Christian radio station. One day, they played this very song and I was listening to the lyrics. I loved it instantly! The lyrics mean a lot to me...especially where it says, "We live we love we forgive and never give up 'Cause the days we are given are gifts from above and today we remember to live and to love." I have always been afraid of death...you just never know when you're going to die. Plus, to be honest, I'm actually dangerously low on blood..or..so the doctor says...I'm trying to stay healthy right now. So, we should always thank God that we are alive. Hey, life might not always be great,and trust me, I know..I'm depressed all the time..but just be happy and thankful. the only reason you're alive today is because of Jesus. remember that... This song really hit home for me, especially the first verse, because my community just recently suffered a loss of a young seventeen year old girl to a car accident. Of course no one expected it to happen and it was a shock to all of us. It has been a really rough week to say the least. It's funny, I've heard phrases like "Live in the moment" or "Live like you were dying" but this song really just hit home and made me realize that we really do only have the promise of today and we really don't know what will happen tomorrow...I pray that everyone could hear this song at least once in their lifetime.
