I agree with everyone else. It does seem that a lot of their songs have multiple meanings. I think that the stanza that includes "young men standing on the top of their own graves" means that they're waiting to see if Jesus will come and save them or will they be sent to the devil. In other words, they're still being judged. Now, I'm christian and I believe in the fact that God created everything, so even though that God loves all, people have done bad things in their life such as (and i'm being serious about this) murder, drugs, theft, rape, etc. Also, even though he loves all, humans aren't in harmony with eachother and probably won't for a long time. In this, many lives will be spent in war, so he will have to judge all of those lives.

I have my own meanings for this song, but I dont wanna say em because you guys will be saying stuff about it and crap. I truly love this song it is really inspirational.

If any of you were Soldiers like me you'd know that all combat troops have felt this before, when a grenade goes off by your head you fall into a dreamlike state, where there's no one there but you...

Actually Toli all SOAD songs have more than two meanings. As they said during an MTV interview, "We can not tell you the meaning of our songs. You must take in what you read and establish from their what you think were talking about. See, were trying to get you, the fans, to think for yourselves and not because everyone is doing it too. You listen to our songs and you interpret what it means by what YOU think." I admit they weren't a very talkative bunch during the interview but what they said makes sense. Rare as it is, do people really think about their actions thoroughly. Which is why consequence is a high tariff to fall under.

There is no one there but God. God is mourning for them, He sees all, feels all, knows all. God will never leave us or forsake us!

In the end all will be weighed, better have a good lawyer (Jesus)

The line "god is wearing black" means that God supposedly doesn't pay attention to most of us, just a select few, however, we all have our beliefs, mine is that God isn't truy a being that created the world and all it's creatures, nor the galxy or universe, but instead is a sentient being that was seen long ago andso advanced, was eventually called god. but that's my idea.

Toli if you found your meaning for this song- that's good. But if you are a little bit interested about the band, you should know, that they have made a lot of things to protect people of war.. So this "first meaning you understand" is a real one. Of course, you can have a lot of own interpretacions for lyrics- especially if you are taking heroine (I'm commiserating)

Touching and meaningful lyrics and my personally favourite systems song...

The "you the panda, our protection, yet your fetus lyes on the tablecloth" is actually, "you depend on our protection, yet you feed us lyes from the tablecloth", and the song is called BYOB (Bring Your Own Bombs).

heyyyy you fools really dont understand the meaning of this song...its all about the heroine and it users.....but U havent felt it yet...thats why...most of their songs have two meaning...the first the one u udnerstand and the secpnd the real meaning

Wow i like this song ALOT, but if you listen to what it means it's really sad. But, on the bright side this song is really great!!
