what i think.... | Reviewer: hi | 7/13/08
well...first what i did was read everyone elses comments. Then i printed the lyrics out and next to each line i put what i thought: something about the girl being on drugs and such a one night stand blah blah blah. Then i watched the video and kinda put it all together:She might kill herself because of her addiction (the gun in the beginning of the music video) there is also and chase and kill and an exlposion so there couldve been a fight. hes not really sure how close their relationship is or can get. then when he talks about the scissor shaped thing he "cuts" his neck with the mic. bottom line she killed herself and is on the bed and hes confused. hes telling her and himself that hes never going to forget her and he's yelling it at her. idk thats what i think
i trip over everything you say | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/12/08
it kind of sounds like a guy and girl are best friends, and in love with each other, but can't act on it. because one of them is in a relationship. so in the term 'And we lay, we lay together just not Too close, Too close (How close is close enough?)' they are physical just not to the point of cheating. like, under the table cheating?
just my opinion.
got it i think | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/17/08
ok i think this song is about a couple who are intimate but they dont really know each other. they treat eacch other badly because they think the other is going to leave them. they dont know what to do so they drink and do drugs and that makes them hate eachother more. the man is trying to make the girl stay by treating her badly and the girl drinks and does drugs because she doesnt know what to do. they want to get to know each other but they dont know how. they are close physically but emotionally.
Deep | Reviewer: Jesse Craft | 4/13/08
i think this song is deep. i think you would have to go through some things before you go understand it. i mean, a popular person who always is the one dumping or breaking hearts would have no idea whats going on, i'm not going to tell u what the meaning is that i saw, that is your you to infer.
confusing song | Reviewer: joe | 3/31/08
i think its about a guy who is in a relationship with a girl but they just arent connecting and even though they arent connecting she will always stay close in his heart. and maybe he wants to "break her down" or stay good friends.
um, get serious | Reviewer: Luci | 3/29/08
daniel, obviously they were/are/did have/had sex because in the lyrics it says "Scissor-shaped across the bed" did you not realize that YOU SPREAD YOUR LEGS?? meaning scissor-shaped..
geez, you have to be pretty thick not to get the lyrics
wow.. | Reviewer: Joe | 3/2/08
a lot of different explanations.. some make sense.. some dont..
i guess we cant know what he really ment unless we actually ask him :P
but he probably wont say anyway, for the same reason he wrote this so unclear- so everyone would understand it in a way he relates to..
objection bitchessss, shut up and listen up :] | Reviewer: jasmine | 2/23/08
a guy love this girl and he wants to get close and fall hard but dosent want to get hurt so he get as close as he can to how far she has fallen inlove with him though he knows loves her more thats why he wants to break her down so badly to love him as much as he love her. and doing it in the worst way, as in when he says worst:some crazy way she wont forget and willlll stick with her. mainly he wants what hes feeling about her to be the same. but hes trying to hold back because he knows she isnt totally there.
my opinion. | Reviewer: Cait | 2/17/08
Hmm, I've gone over this song many times too. And I think its beautiful. But what I've been thinking is..
He wants to have a more umm..intimate relationship with this girl, and she isn't connecting
(And we lay, we lay together just not
Too close, too close (How close is close enough?)
We lay, we lay together just not
Too close, too close)And she has this whole other life, that he wants to be a part of. And this relationship that they have isn't enough I guess, he wants more
(I'm gonna make damn sure that you can't ever leave
No, you won't ever get too far from me
You won't ever get too far from me)
And maybe the breaking down is just a way of saying he's frustrated that it's not happening.
idk.. thats basically what I think.
i just love it! | Reviewer: ej moore | 2/19/08
i think everyone is complicating it too much.
i feel this song is basicly about a guy who has a girlfriend/friend who he truely cares about.
though, he loves her, he hates her at the same time.he hates the way she is..thats why he wants to "break her down so badly, in the worst way".
but he loves her and never wants to be apart from her.
