It expresses his UNIQUE power and IDENTITY as the Creator. UNLIKE ANYONE ELSE, HE ALONE possesses the power and capability to carry out whatever he so purposes. "He causes to become" whatever he needs in order to carry out his purposes. So indeed, this personal name, rightly belonging to him alone, clearly identifies him alone as "the ONLY TRUE GOD." (John 17:3) Similarly, when Moses was going to go tell the Israelites that God was sending him to lead them out of slavery from Egypt; he asked Jehovah-Yahweh how he should answer the people should they question him over WHO sent him. God's answer was NOT to merely tell his people that he existed, as in "I am" - they certainly already knew of their God's existence, that was not an issue. Neither was Jehovah-Yahweh's response one of stagnant, passive inactivity, one lacking purpose towards others - namely, in this case, his very oppressed people, either - as simply "I am" would have offered. No indeed. Jehovah-Yahweh's response was far more powerful than that; showing unquestionable intention - that he had a purpose for his people that would be carried out, no matter what. No one or nothing would be able to stop it. So, to FURTHER EXPLAIN HIS NAME (the Israelites already knew and used his name, Jehovah/ Yahweh) - more about the significance of it - WHO he was, to fortify his people to have full confidence in him, by-in-far the greatest power in the universe, as their Deliverer; God told Moses to answer the people such, as to WHO it was that was sending Moses to them: "I SHALL PROVE TO BE WHAT I SHALL PROVE TO BE....This is what you are to say to the sons of Israel, 'I SHALL PROVE TO BE has sent me to you.'" (Exodus 3:14) This was emphasizing that Jehovah-Yahweh God would and could become to his people whatever he needed to be in order to deliver them. Again, that is far different than what would be just a passive, aloof to the situation at hand, self-affirmation of mere existence, as in inferior renderings of this verse that read: "I AM THAT I AM." So, why is it that the less accurate translations of God's name as being "I Am" and Exodus 3:14 as reading "I AM THAT I AM" are perpetuated, taught-preached, and highlighted by Christendom? The main reason is so that Exodus 3:14 can be EXTORTED, along with part of another inferiorly rendered (given the context) verse, which includes Jesus using the words "I Am", as a [false] TRINITY "PROOF" TEXT. [Jesus answering to the Pharisees regarding his age, informing them of his pre-human existence] "Before Abraham ever was, I Am." (The Jerusalem Bible). * Those wishing to use these verses in these forms together to "prove" the trinity doctrine - that Jehovah/ Yahweh and Jesus Christ are the same being - claim that in this verse, Jesus makes reference to himself as "I Am", which, triune god worshipers say, matches Jehovah-Yahweh God's reference to himself, "I AM THAT I AM"; thus "proving" that Jehovah-Yahweh and Jesus Christ are the same being. However, as shown above, this [FALSE] conclusion is contrived and further drawn from error. U2's "How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" album included the song "All Because of You"; the lyrics and vocalization/music of which seems very obvious in their emphasis of the phrase "I am" ("All because of you, I am.) Certainly, FALSE (anti-scriptural, triune god-worshiping) "Christians" have picked up on this and praised Bono and the U2 band's promotion of their trinity god. This song, so promoting an IDOL god - which is NOT truly supported by whole-use of the Scriptures, and which actually IS derived from popular ancient pagan-spiritistic triads of gods - was performed in front of MILLIONS, in the SAME SHOWS as the song "Yahweh". It is also on the even more "played" album as "Yahweh." In both forms, and in residual media related to them - including "fan" message boards, [FALSE] religious preacher's blogs and sermons, etc., the exaltation of the false "I am" TRINITY teaching has been another Yahweh-profaning/blaspheming tragedy of the Vertigo Tour/ "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" album phenomena. Think about it: The TRINITY- Test ATOMIC BOMB WAS NOT DISMANTLED. WITHOUT FORESIGHT or caring enough about FUTURE CONSEQUENCES, with a lack of conscience, and even - yes - with God-forbidden plans; IT WAS WRECKLESSLY LET TO BLOW, come what may. It is the same with the TRINITY god, promoting it, letting it be BLOWN UP rather than DISMANTLED WITH SCRIPTURAL TRUTH. Three weeks after the TRINITY-Test ATOMIC BOMB was exploded; what followed from that is that Hiroshima was ATOMICALLY BOMBED, followed 3 days later by Nagasaki being likewise BOMBED (causing such FLESH-AND-BLOOD HUMAN REALITIES as SKIN BEING MELTED OFF the bodies of innocent teenagers as the force from the bomb blasted them through the air [I happened to meet a survivor of that experience as part of my "Vertigo" Tour-related "tour".] U2's "Vertigo" Tour and, ironically, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" album EXPLODED-PROMOTED the TRINITY god LIE along with other ways of BLASPHEMING Yahweh-Jehovah God's personal name as a SPIRITUAL BOMB upon a large portion of the music-loving world. It is true that U2 ceased performing "Yahweh" for its last 11 shows of their tour. (Previously, they had often performed that song while showing huge lit-up spiritistic, pagan, and idol images - which is 100% in violation of God's laws to not blaspheme his name by associating it with anything of idolatry or spiritism. [Exodus 20:1-7]) However, THE FALLOUT has continued, with many not protecting themselves from it; and false "Christian", idolatrous U2 fans continue to kick what is as nuclear waste from this SPIRITUAL BOMB around at others - for them to become spiritually sickened from it as well. What have been "the next steps"? If you do not know the Father then you don't know the Son, And If you don't know the Son, then you dont know the Father. God lifted his Son to a place of HOnor and made him equal as Him. God made a way for us to be saved. We need to be all saved becasue all of us are fallen humans beings that have sinned against God. But God made a way for us. He sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for ALL of our sins. He was pure and innocent but took our punishment anyways, so we could be witht he Father. That means we all can be forgiven, but we must confes with our months that we have sinned against God and accept Jesus is our way to be saved. It goess beyond believeing, for the demons believed in Christ too, but you must confess wiht your month the Jesus is Lord. Lord is important because it shows you the God has placed his Son in his rightful place beside Him and made Him equal. The Trinity is Holy and God made it that way. THe Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit work together and are one and three. The Father is the creator, The Son the Savior, and the Holy Spirit the teacher and comforter. All three work togehter as one but three diffrent entities. Blashemy can be forgiven all but the blashemy of the Holy Spirit. My God has declared that they are forgiven if they wrong Him, and I'm not about to disagree with His decision. There is nothing in this song that directly contradicts the truth, and it's certainly a Christian sentiment used in conjunction with the Christian God's name, so I don't think it's wrong. Now, looking at results, I have to say that theresa1's comments are pure evil. Nobody that reads things like that is going to suddenly change their mind and agree, even if they told the truth. The modern triune idol godhead was largely a creation of POLITICAL convenience rather than scriptural truth too. The Roman Emperor Constantine sought UNITY among his kingdom, between "Christians" and triune-godhead worshiping PAGANS. Therefore, he summoned them together to a council, and under that human king (NOT by the Authority of God Almighty), FALSE "Christians" further SOLD OUT spiritual integrity to Jehovah/ Yahweh by officially adopting/ "accepting", to please the human king and their pagan neighbors, straight-out GOD-FORBIDDEN IDOLATRY right into their "worship": They together came to an agreement amongst themselves that God and Christ should be regarded in the same manner as a pagan triune godhead - SO WAS (re)BORN the modern "holy" TRINITY, and so Constantine could wipe his sweaty brow that bothersome detail regarding the "minor issue" (sarcasm mine) of pure worship of God could be x'd off his busy secular agenda. However, of course, it was 100% DISLOYAL AND UNACCEPTABLE TO THE PERSON OF GOD, the Maker, the UNIVERSAL SOVEREIGN JEHOVAH/ YAHWEH himself - WHO, THROUGHOUT THE BIBLE, VOICES CLEAR, STERN, and RIGHTFUL WARNING AGAINST MIXING PURE, SCRIPTURAL WORSHIP OF HIM ON HIS OWN TERMS TOGETHER WITH ANYTHING OF IDOLATRY/SPIRITISM WHATSOEVER. Jehovah-Yahweh EXPRESSLY COMMANDS EXCLUSIVE DEVOTION AS GOD ALONE, ACCORDING TO HIS OWN SCRIPTURAL TERMS OF WORSHIP. "Worship" of him tainted by elements of IDOLATRY or spiritism is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE to him - rejected. Furthermore, for humans to insist upon false-to-God worship is punishable by death from God. (Soon, as prophesied, most of mankind will be dying, killed by Yahweh/ Jehovah and Jesus Christ at Armageddon - for insistence on being spiritually FALSE to them, preferring the teachings of men and demons rather than Jehovah-Yahweh's own scriptural truth.) Again, trinitarians commonly pick a handful of Scriptures far OUT of biblical context as trinity "proof" texts. When these "proof texts" DO FAIL to hold up in the context of the entire bulk of the rest of the holy Scriptures however, the cop-out (excuse) words commonly heard from those of Christendom then become the likes of: "Well...no one can really know God", "God is a MYSTERY", "It [the "trinity" concept] is a MYSTERY/ it is UNKNOWABLE." So, THE CENTRAL CORE TEACHING OF CHRISTENDOM is "unknowable", "a mystery" - "not meant to be understood"???? Yet the Bible, from beginning to end ALWAYS refers to a Father and a Son, as two separate, different individuals; with a close Father and Son relationship. Jehovah-Yahweh the Creator was distinctly in existence BEFORE he CREATED his firstborn-of-all-creation SON - plain as day. Further, Jesus GETS HIS POWER FROM his Father. Jesus did NOTHING of "his own initiative", but everything he obediently did and said was HIS FATHER's will (not his own) and originated with the Father (NOT his own ideas). That is why Jesus would have prayed as he did - TO HIS FATHER, who was IN THE HEAVENS - when he, Jesus, was STILL ON THE EARTH, in the garden of Gethsemaine: He prayed TO HIS FATHER that HIS FATHER'S WILL be done, rather than his (Jesus') own. There is MUCH to say as to WHY the long- pre-Christian and widespread pagan trinity theory-pattern of idol gods IN NO WAY belongs being justaxposed onto the pure and good One and Only True God, Yahweh-Jehovah of the Bible (the Heavenly Father/Creator himself) and his Son. Again, demons have also purposely promoted God as being a common pagan, UNKNOWABLE MYSTERY god as well so that people WILL BE CONFUSED as to the nature of Maker they have an obligation and need to know the truth and will of; and so the True God will be harder to relate to, have a viable relationship with. That way, demons can manipulate persons more easily, corrupt them, mislead them away from God, use them as human horde puppets do work harm in a Satan-run world, and use them as objects to taunt God and Christ with (even though it means such persons going along with the teachings and leadings of demons will die forever at Armageddon soon - demons don't care). Another thought on that "trinity"....If it is true that God and Christ are the same person, sorry, there is no hope for future life - humanity will simply die out. That is because IF the "trinity" is true, Christ NEVER REALLY FULLY DIED (part of him, according, to the "trinity" doctrine, being alive up in heaven); NO corresponding ransom was ever paid - no one ever bought back the right to live forever for Adam's descendents that he lost by disobedience to God. There also would have been no basis for the forgiveness of anyone's sin - nothing to balance the scales of Divine justice. If the "trinity" was true, it would also mean that both God and Christ were fakes and liars in the way they spoke of each other - one as the Father and one as the Son, and also for much of what they taught. So, all-in-all, IF the "trinity" doctrine is true, no one has any hope except to live out a short, frustration-ridden life, like any animal (though having a built-in desire to live forever, so adding to the frustration), in a world in a downward spiral towards the extinction of humankind anyway. But, thankfully, "All-in-all, its just another brick in the wall" - the man and demon-made "trinity" doctrine. It is NOT actually scripturally supported, but, rather, proven impossible to be true according to the whole of the words of the the scripturally NAMED and DESCRIBED - NOT "mystery" God - Jehovah-Yahweh. Again, the spiritistic, rather than Divine and holy NATURE of the triune "mystery" godhead/ multi-being god-entity of the "trinity" is shown by its effect on its worshipers, who are, again, the great MAJORITY of all persons CLAIMING to be "Christian": This world has suffered ruination and humanity has been both severely abused and murdered in a huge-scale way by Christendom - "trinity" god worshipers. "Distance" from such a mystery god has left most people CLAIMING to be "Christian" simply doing WHAT SUITS THEM and what the trends and promotions of other men and Satan are - "in the name of God." "Christian"-pagan hybrid trinity god worshipers comprise one of the top two sectors of Satan's world empire of all FALSE religions. The state of the world reflects the very UNGODLINESS of both the huge sector of trinity-god worshiping Christendom and other FALSE religions. It is a shambles, full of SPIRITISM, INJUSTICE, UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, and VIOLENCE. FALSE Religious leaders, like those in Constantine's Day, have spiritually adulterated themselves to "the kings ofthe earth" rather than teaching and upholding the scriptural standards of the Maker of earth and man. Again, as Revelation 18:23,24 teaches, they have misled the nations with their falseness to God, their spiritism. Again, that has resulted in the FALSE religions of the world - with Christendom a HUGE part of that - in being charged with BLOODGUILT BEFORE GOD, bloodguilt "FOR ALL WHO HAVE BEEN SLAUGHTERED ON THE EARTH." Our world is now in the same kind of condition it was in before God Yahweh-Jehovah found it necessary to destroy most of human society before - when he enacted THE GREAT FLOOD. God himself has prophesied and drawn that same parallel to how the state of the world and humanity would be before he would need to bring the global cataclysm of Armageddon, as he said he will, in the time of the end. Armageddon is now certainly looming. Again, the MAIN reason for Armageddon coming is to CLEAR Jehovah/ Yahweh's NAME of blasphemy and defamation that has been put upon it. The false "Christian"-pagan hybrid doctrine of the trinity - along with ALL OTHER ANTI-SCRIPTURAL teachings about God - also blasphemes and defames the holy name of the Only True God. It also blasphemes and dishonors his Son, the one and only Mediator and High Priest between Jehovah-Yahweh and mankind, the one and only Ransomer, earth's highest and now reigning King, and the Prince of Peace. In this last part of the last days, everyone alive on this earth is getting an opportunity, one way or another, to hear the NEEDED TRUTH about what the Only True God, named Jehovah/ Yahweh/ Ieova, Zoova/ Exhoba/ Yekovah, etc. REQUIRES of mankind. Jehovah/ Yahweh uses his faithful, dedicated servants to teach their fellow human beings who are honest-heartedly searching for the Real God and his truth these scriptural truths. At the same time though, all people are also being WARNED of God's already made scriptural judgment messages of what he himself has already condemned as evil and deserving of everlasting death come Armageddon. (Ezekiel 3:1-21) Blasphemy is a sin deserving of death. So is stubbornly holding to anti-scriptural, pagan, spiritistic beliefs, practices, and idolatries, despite being fairly given warning.
