This is one of the oldest and best of the Canon songs, and it is always fun to dance to. The main tradition of this classic is to wave your hands over your head frome side to side during the "Shalalalalala. . ." bits. Also, everyone claps in rhythm during the bass solo. From then on, dancing is pretty much freeform. I have seen couples swing dance to this, and Brown Eyed Girl can be twisted, hully-gullied, and raved to. Without a doubt, removing Brown Eyed Girl from the Canon would be a tragedy. We would lose a wonderful song from a wonderful roster of songs.
