"Boy, we're going way too fast, it's all too sweet to last" means she took it to far with a guy and although it was a mistake there is a sweet reminiscence to it. "White Houses" signifies her giving up herself to the guy. The color white in this situtation symbolizes her "first time" or her virginity. It is a beautiful song and it isn't all about her love experience if you listen close enough, it's also about friendship. Everyone should go and support her by getting her "Harmonium" CD, cause this is an excellent single. I also like how the music isn't over-complicated, because the message isn't. But stop lying to yourselves, she's not talking about "My First Time" as a love experience. I think she's definately talking about losing her virginity, no symbolism there. I think the song's about how she probably went a little too fast into it because everyone around her was, and while it was exciting and for that she doesn't feel awful about it, she's a little regretful that it's gone perhaps without <i>enough</i> love. As I watch the video on a purely analyzing level, I see small inconsistancies where you can tell it's two videos at once. Vanessa is, in fact, both playing the piano and dancing. I also listen on an analyzing level. There is so much symbolism in the song, especially the stanza beginning with "My First Time." I believe it refers to her first love experience. It was a mistake, and even she says so in the song.
