One of the worst reasons to like a band is because they are famous, or because they have done great things before. You should look at Velvet Revolver as a complete new band that has risen up and said: 'fuck it, let's kick rock in the ass' That's the new sound you should like, because of the amazing emotional and yet powerfull lyrics provided by Scott, the amazing textures Dave can play, the mind-blowing riffs by Slash, the 'fuck-you' attitude Duff has on the bass and the extremely powerfull drums done by Matt. Velvet Revolver is everything you look for in a band, and so much more. The music they make is powerfull and refreshing and that's what makes them so fucking good!
