I found out about WT from Youtube, I was watching a vid on 'runescape pking' and I just had to find out where the song came from :D ever since then they've been my favourite band and I think they're the best band in the entire world. I've loved music since the age of 7 and most bands only have 1 or 2 good songs, but with WT I like about 95% of them! And to me it is unheard of to have such a wide array of songs that are good, but WT did it! I can't wait for their next album and I hope to see them live one day. Anyways I think the song "Jillian" from the black symphony dvd was the best, especially when she absolutely nailed the song between 11:24 and 11:40, the live performance was even better than the album version! .... | Reviewer: Darkwings | 1/5/09 Well, Jonas, I'd have to say the fourteen year olds have good taste in music... And if that's so true, why are they such a huge success in Europe, hmm? Hmm? They kick ass, that's why. Well, at least in the eyes of a wider audience than fourteen year olds. As for the Evanescence argument, I listen to them both. They're both good bands. I've listened to them for about an equal amount of time-Evanescence, maybe a bit longer. But I admit, I'm an eternal Within Temptation fan... maybe because Sharon's voice is so... surreal and vivid, if you know what I mean. Amy's has a more belt-it-out quality, which I also like but not as much. And have you seen Sharon's clothing at her concerts? Corsets, indeed, I'm suprised she can breathe at all... Look, bottom-line, WT and Evanescence cannot and should not be compared. WT is more versatile (compare Mother Earth, Enter, and Heart of Everytihing), Evanescence is pretty fixed in their style (not much of a difference between Fallen and Open Door in my opinion... just my opinion...) They're completely different, and your personal preference is your own. Respect both the band's differences and others' opinions. Sigh... | Reviewer: Someone | 1/2/09 Saddens me to hear that all of you proclaim your opinion as a fact, you might think that evanescence is better than Within, or visa versa, that does not mean it is the truth. Music, as it is, is an opinion and no one can prove that one band is better than another... My personal preference would have to go to Within, this because I find the Evanescence lyrics and way of singing/playing often to dark, to depressing so to say. But hey, that is my opinion. Back to the song, it is a beautiful song to listen to, although not my favorite of them, definitely not my least favorite (which would still be a good song) of 'em either. If that's what you think no one here wants to know. A lot of Within Temptation's stuff is truly amazing music and Jillian is quite simply breathtaking. And let's get something straight: I used to love Evanescence but they are extremely commercial. Within Temptation are not and should not be compared. And yes, Amy Lee sounds incredible on studio tracks but I have heard both Amy and Sharon live and Amu just isn't as good a singer. Sharon has more real vocal talent. I still like Evanescence but I think Within Temptation are the real deal. I love it!!!! | Reviewer: Murtaghgirl | 7/19/08 I love this song but I'm sorry for those of you think otherwise I have to chose Evanescence because of Amy's voice. Amy's voice is angelic yet haunting and Sharon's voice is just angelic. I like the way Amy's voice sends a few good shivers down my spine. I also love both genre's. Gothic rock is my favourite but both bands seem to add their own unique touch to it. I love the soprano voices in the background as well!
