It reminded me so strongly of my two characters in a story I'm writing, how they have to put away their own comforts and look through each other's eyes. Especially the aggressive one who'd thought only of herself and didn't think other's mattered until she met the shy one and had to teach herself and the other girl how to be strong together. Defying the challenges is what this song is about and I ADORE the positive message unlike the negative ones in today's radio songs. Though I like love songs, this one seems to be telling anyone to really believe in themselves and to not give up on themselves as a person. The person singing is telling someone (it sounds like someone who is like them, or maybe anyone who doesn't think they can do much in life) to 'don't lose what we have' (potential to really live), and to truly do something and take a stand.
