Breath-taking ! :D | Reviewer: GJ. | 8/6/09
This song is simply one of a kind! The powerful intro, unique voice of Sharen, and the outstanding effort of making this song one of the most unbelievabley exceptional songs the rock-metal world has ever witnessed.. All in addition to the very true, and well expressed fact that the lyrics have..
I personally congratulate all Within Temptation members for this major success! Keep it up guys! :)
Briliant lyric | Reviewer: Suryo | 7/14/08
This song is very nice.
The lyric is very dark but also briliant.
Within Temptation never want the bloodshed. Within Temptation say in this song that war is useless.
They want piece.
I have 2 videoclips from this song, the original version and the soundtrack for The Chronicles Of Spellborn.
Sharon den Adel look very beautiful in both videoclips (Robert Westerholt, you're very lucky).
No, Courtney, it actually really is for the game.^^ | Reviewer: Raven | 4/12/08
Check WT's official website, Courtney (http://within-temptation.com), go to "English" and click "Spellborn". Scan a little bit and you'll see that they really did do "The Howling" for the Chronicles of Spellborn. Aside from that... this song is extremely awesome as per usual. It's a great song to listen to if you're reading a battle scene in a book-or, if you're a writer, when you're writing a battle scene. I intend to see the music video [which will probably be subject to further comment from me]because I'm sure it's just as awesome as the song.
"I feel them getting closer
Their howls are sending chills down my spine
And time is running out now
They're coming down the hills from behind..."

Within Temptation Rules | Reviewer: Corinne | 1/2/08
I Love This Song It's One Of My Favorite Songs Of All Time I Know All Of The Lyrics From Every Song By Heart On Within Temptation Ablum The Heart Of Everything I Don't Even Need The Music On Or To The Lyrics In Front Of Me For Me To Sing Every Word Of Every Song On That Album If You Say Sing All Of The Howling Without The Music And The Lyrics I Can Do It That's How Much I Love This Band ^__^
This is great. | Reviewer: thelucyprogram | 1/4/08
I love this song ^^
Lots of people seem to think of WT as a goth or emo band, or either against God or for him, but they aren't any of that. They're simply a band that asks questions that people don't want to ask, and discuss things people push aside because they don't want to talk about them.
Within Temptation's songs dare to question humanity. And that's why I love them.
Wow. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/13/07
I love this song. Period. 'Nuff said.
What the song implies is really powerful, too. The emotional standpoint...yikes.
Amazing song. Within Temptation will forever be one of my favorite bands...

man i luv this song. when i heard it, it just gave me chills! i think this is one of their best songs. But i also like their song "what have you done" that one is good too. But this one, aw man.....great job within temptation good job!!!!!
This song makes me think. | Reviewer: Courtney | 11/10/07
I honestly don't think the song was made for a video game. If the game is just being released the 'The Heart Of Everything' was made way before the game then the song was made before it. If you watch the video it explains how horrible the world is turning out, I agree fully with them.
^^ It's actually a song for a game | Reviewer: Alisha | 11/5/07
The Howling was actually created for a trailer of an upcoming MMORPG called The Chronicles of Spellborn. The Howlers are a type of monster in the game I believe and Within Temptation decided to make their song about them, and it turned out so well! I love this, possibly my favourite song by them!
