The mix had been great up until then. We all listened for moment and then burst into laughter. 'Who on earth wrote this rubbish?'. Nobody seemed to know. 'It can't be a native English speaker', offered one of our group. Well, that was obvious. That was what had made it sound so comical, despite the clichéd attempt at melodrama. Oy. This is really bad song writing. And the 'crying voice' just makes it sound even funnier. Not one person in the car had a dry eye after hearing this song, but probably for all the wrong reasons.
