It just helped me understand my parents relationship. Now this is one of my favorite songs and I listen to it all the time. Every time I hear it it reminds me that everything that happens God does for a purpose. My dad remarried and I have a great step-family. I visit them a lot and its a blessing. I heard this on the radio last year and didn't even know who it was by. A mentor at my church figure it out for me, when I told her some of the lyrics. The message in this song gave me the strength to stay out of an abusive relationship I was in at the time. I had kept going back, becauase we had talked about marriage and "blingy rings".....I started going to church on a regular basis again, felt strong enough not to go back to him, and then I heard this song one day. Gone | Reviewer: tayler | 1/31/07 I had never really listened to TobyMac before, but i went to a concert of him with my youth group, while at the time i was dating a guy who wasnt the best for me and rumors from everyone he cheated and all that garbage. When this song came on at the concert my sister told me to listen to what he was saying in the song and before he actually sang it what he said. I went home and lisetned more carefully to the song an it helped me break up with my boyfriend and get through it after. I love this song and it helped me alot. My husband told me it was over for a long time for him, so I moved out. Some how this song came into my life at a very painful time and gave me strength.
