A Love So Pure Lyrics
Artist(Band):Underoath
Review The Song (11)Print the Lyrics
Always did it my way on my own then one day I realized
I was blind, nothing I could do on my own
Turn, we have found a way to see, look up... feel the Almighty
Take control as we gaze into your eyes
We're just the tool you use to bring this world to you
Oh, Lord, how we love you
With your grace, take away the hurt and the bruises inside,
reach down let your glory reside
The cross carried for all of us, paint the image in my mind
So I will never think I am something,
but nothing am I but you, you are something
Lord you keep me alive, you give me rest at night
When there seems no way to find calmness in the storm you come and
take me in your arms and then the waves drown me no more
With you I'll last this battle and many others
Through the ages your name will reigh forever... never to be replaced
In these trials I face, I pray you humble me
Humble me I want to be like you Jesus more and more like you
I was crucified on that day with Christ
Nailing you there with sin, accepting you
I nailed my soul to the cross and now my life begins
This world so cold but your love keeps me warm
My father holds me in his nailed scarred hands which I put there
But for some reason he still loves me with all his heart
Even through I betray him constantly
He always keeps his arms open waiting, till I give up my old ways
God my father, you are the only one that can give me comfort
You touch my heart in such a way that all I can do is cry your name
Jesus Christ I love you
My heart aches for your love

WOW, you guys are kinda stupid.

underoath sends the same message as they did here, and honestly, at least they sound like they're playing good music now? Their old stuff is great, don't get me wrong, but Dallas Taylor sounds so much better in Maylene and Spencer's lyrics are amazing too. Also, if you listened to The Changing of Times, it was no where near as deeply religious as this, and guess what, Dallas was in the band then too? haha. and listening to only Christian music isn't pathetic, but i couldn't do it. I even tend to listen to slipknot sometimes, so shoot me! does that make me a bad christian?

underoath is amazing | Reviewer: Cory | 6/29/2008

i love how Underoath decided to make this album the most heavy out of all there other cds and also the most religious too they are such amazing artists probably the most talented Christian band out there in my eyes it least.

    <33 i love them | Reviewer: kimberly | 12/26/2007

    well;
when they make a song like this which is very religious, their not making it for people to be like "ohhh wow, look at underoath they only make songs for christians"

they made this song so that you can appreciate them with their love of god and show you just because their a screamo band and they sound "scary" doesn't mean they worship the devil.

    so,yeah.

i love them either way, without having christian lyrics and with christian lyrics.
    they rock either way :)

to the person who posted a love so pure | Reviewer: nessa | 12/22/2007

i think that even though you cant understand it, thers a subliminal message heard through your spirit, kinda like the way demonic music gets through ya know?
and i totally agree that theyre new stuff is no where as near as good as the old stuff, not just because of the less godliness but the total everything! they are not passionate in their music as well as towards God.
and to the person who posted holy crap just because you only listen to christian music does not mean your pathetic
i mean if you really were a christian you would know that in the bible it says if your left hand leads you to sin then cut it off. thats exactly what i do. i cut off my ungodly music.

    and as for this song
    it is AMAZING
i cant get enough of it
    its like
    wow
    wowow!

    roflol!!!!

    yer

    honestly......... | Reviewer: Cora | 11/17/2007

i dont think that just because they are a christian band they should have to only play christian music. yes it might seem like they arent being FAITHFUL to your guys god but my gosh
when your playing in a band you have to deliever your music to everyone in order to get more fans.

i really love the lyrics to this song, but i don't understand how the message is going to get across if you can't understand it. i love love love underoath, but stuff like this is just too much. and why can't they make songs more like this? about god.

    holy crap | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/23/2007

honestly guys, Im sorry, Im not usually an arguing kind of person, but seriously, get real. just because they dont have the same "Christian Message" as they used to, doesnt mean theyve lost their way or whatever. Im a Christian myself, but I dont just listen to Christian bands, cause thatd be pathetic. With their new stuff, they can reach out to a bigger fan base, and with the songs that have meaning, people that dont believe that stuff will get a chance to hear it anyway. so they havent lost any "passion for God", theyre just presenting it in a different way

Great Lyric from a great group... | Reviewer: hajimesaitou | 8/16/2007

Yeah... for sure this is the best lyric of Underoath... The latest productions of this band doesn't seem to be as this... For example, if you search the lyric of the songs in "Define the great line" you'll se clearly that underoath has changed it's message a lot... Anyway... I hope Underoath will find the right way and will produce material with the devotion to God that this song shows off... God Bless you all...

response to jared (first review) | Reviewer: someone | 6/8/2007

i really like this song as well as the lyrics.
Also i agree with jared in how underoath dosent seem as passionate as they used to be but most of the people who were in the band during act of depression have left. For example Aaron is the new singer/songwriter.

    Well | Reviewer: Claire | 5/16/2007

I don't really like the song itself. But I love the lyrics.
