I was born in a house
Of glass and silver floors
There were so many people
Wearing masks
One question with two answers
I asked...
I was born in a house
Of glass and silver floors
There were so many people
Wearing masks
One question with two answers
I asked...
Anywhere is better than here
Away from you
Breed me, breed me
Give me away
Lie to me, you lied so bad
Give me away
ohhhh
What do you say?
Just you and I
South on the five
For a couple of days?
You take your car
I'll take my bag
You take the wheel
I'll gather money
For gas
Anywhere is better than here
Away from you
Breed me, breed me
Give me away
Lie to me, you lied so bad
Give me away
ohhhhh
Danny...
Oh Danny [x7]
I was born to be given away...
Breed me, breed me
Give me away
Lie to me,you lied so bad
Give me away
ohhhhh
They told me...
A little boy who had been wearing my face
Had told me I was born to be given away

Review about Afterbirth Note to self, I miss you terribly... | Reviewer: Phoenix | 9/6/2008
Yepp, great song. Downloaded it 2day, and its gotta be one of my fave songs from FFTL. This is certainly a different one, but nevertheless an excellent song. The lyrics are so powerful, and emotional.
Yeah, people sulking about the fact that sonny left should really get over it. Sure, sonny was an excellent singer with awesome snakebites, but he left for a good reason, and Matt Good is truly a magnificent singer. FFTL's self titled album is awesome, get yourself a copy guys and gals :D
how does it feel to be ashamed of who you love | Reviewer: Stryfe Ælfric | 2/18/2008
This is a really good song by From First To Last back when they had Sonny Moore. Its about how he was "born to be given away", adopted. Sonny had known his birth parents all along but he didn't know who they were, which is really sad. Maybe Danny and the "boy who had been wearing my face" was perhaps his biological brother, or Danny is his biological father and the boy being himself just being hit by the fact that he was adopted and telling himself that he was born to be given away. The whole album was basically about how hew he had just found out he was adopted when they started working on Heroine

It's a great song over all, but my friend and I are wondering: does anybody know who Danny is? I've searched all over the net and can't find the answer to this question.

Wow.
This song is amazing. It is one of the more up beat songs. It has a techno sounding beat thats hard to escape.

Sad, but great | Reviewer: Connor Drake | 11/5/2006
This has got to be my favorite song done by From First To Last for so many reasons.
First off, it's a very emotional song. This is not just a few lyrics thrown together, but rather a message. As the fans of From First To Last know, singer Sonny Moore was adopted, and found out just before the recording of their CD. That fact really messed with his head, and this is a song of anger upon that note. Lines such as "Breed Me, Breed Me: Give Me Away" show the point quite well.
Secondly, it is such a different style for them. Granted, most all of Heroine's songs were quite a change, but this one above all else. Unlike most of their songs that have a quick paced, heavy intro, this one is approached differently. Those awaiting a scream will be taken a bit off guard as singer Sonny Moore starts this song off slowly and emotionally. Yes, there was no scream in the beginning, so you keep on listening. However, it is not until near the end that you hear a 'scream' by Travis, though it is toned from what fans of Dear Diary are used to.
Though it was a huge change in rhythm for the band, I love this song. The entire band worked so hard on this song.. The entire CD; and, dispite what critics say, they did an amazing job.
Good job, FFTL!
