He sounds (and I assume he is) incredibly sincere. Especially in the end when he's singing, "You're amazing, you're amazing" it really hits home. It shows that people are messed up, and no one deserves God's love. The words "'Cause I'm addicted, I'm needy, I'm lost without you" are so genuine, and every time I hear them, I remember how flawed and sinful I really am. Many times I think about myself, "hey, I'm alright as a person. I'm not as bad as other people", and I put distance between myself and God. But when I face the truth of the matter, I am addicted, needy, and lost without Him, and I need Him. God knows we need Him even when we don't know it ourselves, which is why Jesus died on the cross, to provide that connection. His love and grace is so amazing because He sacrificed himself even though not one of us deserved it. Christians are no better than anyone else (and no Christian should ever act that way. It's such a turn-off for non-believers), we are just forgiven. This song is a powerful depiction of God's "Amazing Grace". This song is so great not just because of the excellent vocals, or the unique spin off of the original "Amazing Grace" song, or even the simple, but intense lyrics. What makes it so special is its honesty and relatability. After being in a relationship with Jesus for a while, Christians often hesitate to be completely honest with God about their shortcomings (me especially). This song is just about a guy relating to God about how he is so flawed, and praising Him for still loving him even when he is messed up. I relate to this song so well, especially to the words "I'm the type of person who lets fear drive", because I so often let fear lead me in my actions instead of God.
