Taking their name from the word "amorphous" meaning 'no
determinate form or shape', Finland's most creative and
acclaimed metal band have certainly lived up to their name
along the course of their ten year history. With a vast set
of musical influences amongst their membership, Amorphis
have taken large strides with each consecutive album and
have reached their most ambitious plateau yet. Boasting a
sound more aligned with '70s progressive rock bands than
modern day metal acts, Amorphis aren't afraid to let go of
their past and fly into uncharted territories inspired by

    There is no way that you can compare Amorphis with another band; they are in their own category. The combination of clean and goth singing mixed in with melodies on the guitar and keyboard make an awesome combo that I've never heard done so amazing. And you don't lose interest in or find any boring parts in their songs. Sometimes I feel like "ok, is the song still on?" with Opeth but uh-uh, not with Amorphis. ROCK ON ONE OF THE BEST BANDS EVER

    if u wanna check out this band i mean i would simplycuz i support the metal all realm this band is like umm something soo soothing and just good i like it they also remind me of opeth their like melodic death and prog metal

    Amorphis are an amazing "not so typical" death metal band, including lighter elements like acoustics and clean singing. They remind me of Opeth, as Opeth have clean vocals and light acoustics with monstrous death growls, and an overall 'doom metal' sound. A complex band, with poetics lyrics and the use of keyboards
