In the beginning of the 1980s in the US a great many bands were formed who took their inspiration from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Among the most gifted of those were bands like TWISTED SISTER, MÖTLEY CRÜE, WASP, MANOWAR and of course Anthrax. Anthrax was formed back in 1981 by two guitarists Scott Ian and Dan Lilker. They had been classmates at the Bayside school in the Queens area of New York. Both of them already had a certain experience on stage; they played in FOUR X and WHITE HEAT respectively. Other members of the band were Dave Weiss, Paul Kahn, and John Connelly the lead singer. Problems began to appear from the very beginning. Several members left the band due to their incapability of following the standards set by Scott and Dan. The More... The main riff is a bit repetitive, however. The lyrics are perfect. Many well thought out lyrics, such as the classic "Who says that my life's such a crime?" Alongside "White fills my eyes, and only then they see the light!" This is some of Anthrax's best work. This whole album is prefect in every sense. It's their Master of Puppets. It has a good beat and is very easy to get into. youngest fan | Reviewer: marcus ------ About the song Caught in a Mosh performed by Anthrax it's one of my favorites but the coolest thing is my 7 month reacts to that song like another kid would react to a cool toy. I own a copy of Ozzfest 10th year anniversay Dvd and Anthrax opens with "caught in the mosh". Her head turns and she smiles with a grin and will not stop staring at it until the song is done. The rest of the metal bands seem to scream too much for her and doesnt react at all(neither do I) but bands like VR and Black Sabbath comes on, her eyes are glued. Just one of those funny things I guess...
