There's a man dying on the side of the road
Won't make it home tonight
He was driving fast on a cellular phone
That's how he lived his life
While he was hanging by a thread
These were the final words he said.
(Chorus)
My girl turned sweet sixteen today
She's beautiful,So beautiful
It might get rough sometimes
But I hope she keeps the faith
I wish I grabbed the chance to say to her
Life is too short to take the time and appreciate
There's a women crying on the kitchen floor
She got a call tonight
Now she's tremblin outside her daughters door
Walks in and holds her tight.
Wondering how or where to start,Is there a way to shield her heart.
(Chorus)
My girl turned sweet sixteen today
She's beautful,So beautiful.
It might get rough sometimes
But I hope she keeps the faith
I wish I grabbed the chance to say to her
Life is too short to take the time and appreciate
But any but a loving way
Get hurt along the way
Don't be afraid to open up
And use the time you have before it fades
Show your love today..........
(Chorus)
My girl turned sweet sixteen today
She's beautiful,So beautiful
It might get rough sometimes
But I hope she keeps the faith
I wish I grabbed the chance to say to her
Life is to short so take the time and appreciate.(x2)
I absolutely love this song. I don't understand what is happening in the second verse about the woman and her daughter, can someone tell me what is going on? But besides that, I LOVE THE SONG. The Jonas Brothers are simply amazing. :)
I love te song, but it is so sad. If that happended to me, this would be my favorite song of all the songs in the world. And if that happened to me, I would be torn apart

My father died in a car accident when I turned sixteen so this is my favorite song just because it describes that moment in my life when I felt I would never be whole again
