Calm Before The Storm Lyrics
Artist(Band):Fall Out Boy
Review The Song (45)Print the Lyrics
I sat outside my front window...this story's going somewhere:
"He's well hung," and I am hanging up.
Well there's a song on the radio that says:
"Let's get this party started."
So let's get this party started.

What you do on your own time's just fine.
My imagination's much worse, I just never want to know.
What meant the world had folded
like legs and fingers holding onto what escapes me;
what he has: a better kiss that never lasts.

You said, between your smiles and regrets: "Don't say it's over."
Dead and gone, dead and gone, yeah

Calm before the storm set it off, and the sun burned out tonight.
A reception less than warm set it off, and the sun burned out to...

This is me standing in the arch of the door
hating that look that's on your face
that says there's another fool like me.
There's one born every minute, there's one born every minute.

What you do on your own time's just fine.
My imagination's much worse, I just never want to know.
What meant the world imploded, inflated then demoted all my oxygen
to product gas and suffocated my last chance.

You said, between your smiles and regrets: "Don't say it's over."
Dead and gone, dead and gone, yeah, woah

Calm before the storm set it off, and the sun burned out tonight.
A reception less than warm set it off, and the sun burned out tonight.

Calm before the storm, set it off, set it off, woah

Calm before the storm set it off, and the sun burned out tonight.
A reception less than warm set it off, and the sun burned out tonight, yeah...
Woah...yeah...
Sun burned out tonight
Woah...
The sun burned out tonight

Seriously, those of you who are saying "omg, you arne't FOB fans 'cause you like 4 songs" are SO ridiculous! At ONE point in your lives you must have only known about 4 songs by FOB, why on earth are you complaining? Get your sodding heads out of your ass and shut the hell up! You've been to so many concerts, have so many songs, blah blah blah, noone actually cares how much of a fan you are. By the way, you cannot possibly tell if someone likes only 4 songs because they comment on one song or whatever. Shut it, urgh. People like you lot who insist they're the Uberfan really piss me off. You're no better than the posers. True fans would say that they love FOB and their lyrics. Not judge others on whether the "Really" like them or not.

/rant

and also, I ADORE this song. It's so catchy and the lyrics are awesome :D

Inspiring. | Reviewer: Samantha | 6/13/09

All of fall out boy's songs are inspiring. I love how Pete writes. His lyrics are so deep and meaningful. Unlike some of these rap artists we here nowadays.
But anyway, this song is one of my favorites. I love the beat and the lyrics just pull me in.
Im always wanting more of fall out boy :)

Amazing | Reviewer: Melissa | 3/30/09

"'Oh, and for the ! in Panic, it was actually never decided by the band to use the ! in the first place...'
Actually, it was. The exclaimation mark was there because their name was inspired by a song or an album or something with 'Panic!' in it."
Um, no actually it wasn't. Ryan just randomly put it in once and everyone started using it. Their name was inspired by song though.

I love FOB. tttyg is in my opinion their best album. I love this song. And Our lawyer made us change... is my second fav after this

"Oh, and for the ! in Panic, it was actually never decided by the band to use the ! in the first place..."
Actually, it was. The exclaimation mark was there because their name was inspired by a song or an album or something with 'Panic!' in it.

Also, I can honestly say that I love Fall Out Boy! I know every single one of their songs by heart, even the songs that were exclusive iTunes releases from Folie A Deux, and the songs from their CitizensFOB Mixtape.
I can't wait for their concert next year! I was so excited when they announced their Australian tour.

Down With Posers! | Reviewer: Jess | 8/26/08

I really donno why someone would say they like a band they no so little about. Me, personally, if I listen to a band I have to get ALL the songs if I like just a few, so I have most of them teehee. Oh and Panic...I LOVE them I actually like "When The Day Met The Night" (Check it out it's kick@$$!) Oh, and for the ! in Panic, it was actually never decided by the band to use the ! in the first place...

stupid. | Reviewer: MICHELLE | 8/17/08

Actually, everybody should chill. You're not a poser if you call a band your favorite, and you don't happen to know which brand of toiler paper they wipe their ass with.
Even if they only know the hit singles, they can still be their favorite band. Shocking! :O

I agree with sally | Reviewer: Marfcus | 8/3/08

sally i hear ya! i've seen fall out boy 3 times in concert and know every song not just the radio songs that are played occasionally. and i love that green gentleman. and i love this song but fav fob song is I've got a dark alley...(etc.) anyone else like that one? lyrics are deep. -marcus

fav album right here | Reviewer: rick | 7/27/08

to be honest, i felt their best album was take this to your grave, the style simply says alot about the band and i feel they got the whole "lyrics that flow with the tunes" bit pretty much perfect

POSERS! | Reviewer: Sally | 5/30/08

I hate all of you posers that are reading through these comments saying 'FOB's my fave band' when in reality all you know are about for songs.

Out of the 65... I think... FOB songs I have. I only dislike 5 of them! And I know the rest of the lyrics off by heart.

Anyone else here love PATD? GUESS WHAT?! They dropped the exclaimation mark so now it's Panic At The Disco not Panic! At The Disco.
Oh well. BTW, anyone else in love with That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)?

Awesome | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/24/08

What meant the world had folded
like legs and fingers holding onto what escapes me;
what he has: a better kiss that never lasts.

You said, between your smiles and regrets: "Don't say it's over."

best line i have ever heard in my life.
