I think this song is about two people. This boy loves a girl but she doesn't love him, and after the boy has expressed his feelings for her. This girl is starting to drive him away. They were friends first but now the boy feels like a complete stranger. He remembers the feeling of love and tries searching for it but comes to the realization that no one can take her place. That's what I think :)

Man, this song hits me hard. I just wanna put it on repeat and get in the car and go, no matter where I'm headed. It's powerful.
I feel like I can relate it to a few different relationships. Whether or not I realized it while I did it, a few times I put someone on the pedestal I had created for someone else, hoping the new girl would ease the pain of how much I missed the one that really counted. I took the new girl and "dressed her in her clothes" I was so broken up and far away from myself.. I just wanted to take this new person and get as far away from everything as I could. ...That's what this song always represents to me.. the times I was hurting so much over someone who left, and tried to ease that by running off with someone else.

this song is just a eargaism everytime i hear it. reminds me of the time i fell in love for the first time. but now that i totally hatee that girl doesnt seem to matter anymore still a awesome song.....

This song reminds me of the first time I was heartbroken and how much it made me just resent life and the town I lived in. The line "I dressed you in her clothes" makes me think of how you can't help but compare your relationships to the first time you were in love.

After I learned how to drive I would steal my moms old beater car and just drove out as far as the gas would get me. I wanted to just keep driving until everything and everyone was far away. It wasn't a "I hate my life thing" but it was just an urge. This song reminds me of that every time i hear it. I still get that urge when I'm by myself on the road. I love when a song has that effect on me, thanks Chino.

When I think about this song and hear it...I think about how boring life is in the small city I live in...and how seldom I find people on the same wavelength as me....but when I get in my car and drive...and get out of the city to see the other beautiful places this earth offers us...I can feel passionate about life and accept that every portion of it is necessary

When Chino says "I dressed you in her clothes" I think about how I try to substitute all of those other places for the one I must live in now

And then sometimes when I listen to this song...I think of her...

i think its about a teenager who's in love with a girl all he can do is be hers he's infatuated with her more dangerous and deeper than obsession even though he knows she's promiscuous girl the only time he feels like she's entirely his is when they're driving disowned by family because he chose her all he can think of is to leave with her get away from the life that he knows will end but is blind and chooses ignorance than to believe she's unfaithful even when its the most obvious so truly it feels good to know your mine
