Come here darlin’ and lay down by my side
The big star’s fallin’ and the moon will turn the tide
The whistle of the wind will lead us on
Here we are, not too far
Before the dawn
Pictures keep on fallin’ from the walls
The ghosts are still careenin’ through the halls
The drunken neighbour sings his favourite song
In the stardust of the night
Before the dawn
You never really know just who your friends are
Till you find out at last who they are not
You never recognize the things you really want
Till you remember all the dreams that you forgot
We’ve been runnin’ for so long against the grain
Tryin’ to find a way to turn around again
Trouble in your heart will soon be gone
It’s lonely blue, it’s only true
Before the dawn
Come here darlin’ lay down by my side
Well the big star’s falling and the moon will turn the tide
The whistle of the wind will lead us on
Here we are, not too far
Before the dawn
Well here we are, not too far
Before the dawn

This Track is from Colin James' National Steel Album.
The special thing with this album is that it is really a collaboration between 2 well known Canadian modern guitar slingers... Colin James and Colin Linden. The guys met when Linden was 17 and James was 11 and discovered their common love for blues.
This CD is Colin and Colin's homage to some of the blues artists that influenced them in their early years, including "Yank" Rachel and Howling Wolf, whom they met, developed friendships and played with.
Most of the tracks are covers of tunes like "Yank" Rachel's, "Shout Baby Shout".
"Before the Dawn" is one of the originals on the CD. It was written by Colin Linden and it makes you want to get a guitar and belt your heart out.
I first heard these tracks played by Colin and Colin live at an outdoor festival. One of the best shows i have ever experienced.
Get this CD and imagine yourself sitting under the stars in the warm summer breeze while listening. If you love raw, "REAL" music... You'll love it.
