Before The Dawn Lyrics - Judas Priest
Review The Song (2)
[Downing/Tipton/Halford]
Before the dawn, I hear you whisper
In your sleep "Don't let the morning take him"
Outside the birds begin to call
As if to summon up my leaving
It's been a lifetime since I found someone
Since I found someone who would stay
I've waited too long, and now you're leaving
Oh please don't take it all away
It's been a lifetime since I found someone
Since I found someone who would stay
I've waited too long, and now you're leaving
Oh please don't take it all away
Before the dawn, I hear you whisper
In your sleep "Don't let the morning take him"
Before the dawn, I hear you whisper
In your sleep "Don't let the morning take him"
Outside the birds begin to call
As if to summon up my leaving
It's been a lifetime since I found someone
Since I found someone who would stay
I've waited too long, and now you're leaving
Oh please don't take it all away
It's been a lifetime since I found someone
Since I found someone who would stay
I've waited too long, and now you're leaving
Oh please don't take it all away
Before the dawn, I hear you whisper
In your sleep "Don't let the morning take him"

In fact, this song sounds like the reverse to Eddie Rabbit's 'Room At The Top Of The Stairs'. Or a continuation of that song. She can't keep his man by her side forever, especially after he'd had his fill. Great song anyway.

I can only imagine that this SONG was in fact on the minds of those two guys in Reno,Nevada that shot themselves... BEFORE THE DAWN
