CLIMBING UP THE WALLS Lyrics
Artist(Band):Radiohead
Review The Song (15)Print the Lyrics
I am the key to the lock in your house
That keeps your toys in the basement
And if you get too far inside
You'll only see my reflection

It's always best when the covers up
I am the pick in the ice
Do not cry out or hit the alarm
You know we're friends till we die

And either way you turn
I'll be there
Open up your skull
I'll be there
Climbing up the walls

It's always best when the light is off
It's always better on the outside
Fifteen blows to the back of your head
Fifteen blows to your mind

So lock the kids up safe tonight
Shut the eyes in the cupboard
I've got the smell of a local man
Who's got the loneliest fear

That either way you turn
I'll be there
Open up your skull
I'll be there

Climbing up the walls
Climbing up the walls
Climbing up the walls

Not OK computer | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/28/2008

these band has recently released In Rainbows, solid sounded and highly acclaimed record. Though many critics claim OK computer is the best thing Radiohead has ever done. Rubbish! One should not listen to differnt f*ckers, trying to use their status as they like, you should Radiohead by yourself, this Oxford five is doing fantastic and different music, lyrics and sound are dramatically changeable. "Climbing..." has been hanging in my consciousness for a decade already. It's very strong piece, as for me. Thank You, Radiohead!

these guys have recently released In Rainbows, latest studio record with warm lyrics and solid sound. I can't take side of people who claim OK computer is Radiohead's best album, one shouldn't form about this band only hearing others talking about OK computer as a f*cking masterpiece. Radiohead is brilliant in every record, changes in style and manner of lyrics is important to the Band so we should praise the effort of Thom and Co. to share.

My most memorable record though is Kid A, actually "Idioteque" and "How to disappear completely". but never the less, "Climbing..." has stuck in my consciousness for a decade already. No doubt, Radiohead is the best I can have today, thank You)

Description from GreenPlastic.com | Reviewer: Kid A | 10/6/2008

Thom : "This is about the unspeakable. Literally skull-crushing. I used to work in a mental hospital around the time that Care In The Community started, and we all just knew what was going to happen. And it's one of the scariest things to happen in this country, because a lot of them weren't just harmless... It was hailing violently when we recorded this. It seemed to add to the mood."

"Some people can't sleep with the curtains open in case they see the eyes they imagine in their heads every night burning through the glass. Lots of people have panic buttons fitted in their bedrooms so they can reach over and set the alarm off without disturbing the intruder. This song is about the cupboard monster."

Exit Music | Reviewer: Bobby | 6/18/2008

A very great song almost my favorite but you really cant beat exit music for a movie when he screams "breath... keep breathing. dont lose your nerve. Breath...keep breathing." Its such a gloomy song but so brilliantly uplifting. I love how with any mood im going through I can listen to that song and feel stronger as a person than I did before listening to it. Absolutely by far Exit music is my favorite song.

coldplay fan | Reviewer: Ray G | 5/29/2008

im a big coldplay fan as i just started listening to their albums again.... i was on a forum and everybody was talking about how they stole Radioheads style from "ok computer"
i have to disagree with people who say that anyway...
this is the best song that i liked off of this album ok computer....
lyrics arent really about much to me its the feeling the music and how thew words are said that gets me... all around great song i think.... never was into Radiohead before i saw this big debate over coldplay stealing there style from this album.... glad i found it......

This song is great. Even though I dont understand the lyrics, they still sound great with the song. The part when they say "So lock your kids up safe tonight," always gets me. Radiohead is a greatly admired group of mine, I'm so glad to see people like this song as much as me.

its so good. one of the best radiohead songs ever. John uses 16 detuned violins for the 'white nose' stuff that you hear all throughtout the song. Adn at the begining Thom starts part tuning a radio in and out of frequincy to a classical station.. jsut a couple more reasons that radiohead is up there with floyd.

Radiohead Climbing up the walls | Reviewer: Pezzer | 12/11/2007

I read in the nme magazine a few months ago and it was explaining about what all the songs on the album ok computer were about and it said this song is about thom yorke getting into the mind of a schisofrenic.

best one | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/11/2007

this is my favorite radiohead song by far. I've never heard anything close to it. and who really cares what the lyric is, just listen to that amazing sound

It's 'the smell of a local man' just to clear that. If you want complete lyrics to all Radiohead songs go to greenplastic.com.
