Gracias a Ti
Calmo mi sed
Me haces vivir
Tú eres mi razón de ser
Y cuando más
Segura pienso que estaré
La tempestad me nubla el corazón
Sacude todo mi interior
Y nuevamente estoy
Lista para ser
Abierta por Tu lluvia
Como una flor
Dime lo que debo hacer
Yo quiero renacer
Muy lejos del dolor
Así como una flor
Tú eres más
Que inspiración
Mi voluntad
Y quien motiva mi soñar
Y cuando más
Creo en el amor
La tempestad me nubla el corazón
Sacude todo mi interior
Y nuevamente estoy
Lista para ser
Abierta por Tu lluvia
Como una flor
Dime lo que debo hacer
Yo quiero renacer
Muy lejos del dolor
Así como una flor
Todo conoces de mí
Al dormir o al despertar
Cada esquina de mi vida
Siento que nunca habrá un lugar
Donde Tú dejes de estar
Y nuevamente estoy
Lista para ser
Abierta por Tu lluvia
Como una flor
Dime lo que debo hacer
Yo quiero renacer
Muy lejos del dolor
Así como una flor
Así como una flor
Direct English Translation of Like a Flower
Translated by Adam Agonis
TRANSLATOR'S NOTE: Many parts of this song do not make sense if they
are directly translated. To avoid this problem, I paraphrased a few things
as closely as I could to the Spanish meaning. Please notice that in the
case of this song, the storm is represented as a good, cleansing force,
not the frightening, dangerous clouds as they are often thought of in the
American culture.
Thanks to you
My thirst is calmed
You make me live
You are my reason to be
When more certainty comes
I think that you will be
The storm that clouds my heart
And shakes everything inside of me
And newly I am
Ready to be
Open for your rain
As a flower
Tell me what I should do
I want to be born again
Very far from the pain
As a flower
You are more
Than inspiration
My will
And the one who moves me to dream
I believe in love more
The tempest clouds my heart
It shakes everything inside of me
I believe in love more
The tempest clouds my heart
It shakes everything inside of me
You know everything about me
When I sleep and wake
Each corner of my life
I fell there will never be a place
Where you will cease to be

Review about Como Una Flor spanish-english translation | Reviewer: D | 12/1/2007
actually in this song, the storm IS something bad. she's saying:
and when i feel like all things are good,
i feel secure
the storm comes and clouds my heart
shaking my being...
also. there is an english version of this song, it's called "LIke a flower in the rain" so translation is not necessary.
thanks for try though, and please don't give up learning spanish!
