Yes, I did hear those songs six million times over on the radio, and yes I did enjoy them to some extent. But to be honest, when my boyfriend bought the newest cd I was VERY hesitant to even listen to it. Then he mentioned that Gordon Downie was on one of the tracks. So INSTANTLY, me being the die hard Tragically Hip fan I am. I was down for a listen. And with in the first 20 seconds of the song, I was hooked. I enjoy this album as a whole, but this song is absolutly amazing. I dont souly love this song due to Mr.Downies contributions, although it is a factor. The chilling sound of such RAW talent is so evident in this song. Due to massive flooding in our town, he had been pulled into the river and drowned. This song spelt out everyone's thoughts and emotions perfectly; and it really struck a heartstring.
