------ Review about artist/band Danger To The System
Danger To The System's debut full-length album "Beware the Military-Industrial Complex" is exactly what it's name suggests - an in-your-face political punkrock call to arms. Guitarist/frontman Alex Loeb, bassist Mike Danger, and drummer Duane Red Bear deliver driving punk songs as you'd expect, like "Bill of Rights" and "Lending A Helping Hand", but then there are some more downtempo songs such as "Set, Ready, Go!", and the folky tour ballad "The Most We Need". The record also include two classic covers that show these kids knowledge of their idealogical roots: "I Ain't Got No Home" by Woody Guthrie, and "Imagine" by John Lennon. As with any number of punk rock predecessors, don't expect professional studio recording quality and polished perfomances. This album is an impressive first effort, full of energy and emotion, exploding out of Loeb's basement and into your headphones.
