Dead In The Water Lyrics
Artist(Band):Hawthorne Heights
Review The Song (10)Print the Lyrics
The medicine is blending in mixing the blood with oxygen
I need this right now to figure myself out
Cutting through the ribbons of self doubt
I never thought you'd see me this way
You are the worst and I am to blame

Close the door, lock it tight
Then I'll know you're safe tonight
Turn on a song that means the most
Believe I'm there and hold me close

She is in my bloodstream, tonight she's draining me
The room is filled with reds and blues
I follow as she leads into the darkness
Drying up my veins, she's a ghost, a silhouette
Calling out my name

These lies will fall into the pieces I left you
Of your favorite picture torn in two
I never thought we'd end up this way
You are the worst, I am to blame

Close the door, lock it tight
Then I'll know you're safe tonight
Turn on a song that means the most
Believe I'm there and hold me close

She is in my bloodstream, tonight she's draining me
The room is filled with reds and blues
I follow as she leads into the darkness
Drying up my veins, she's a ghost, a silhouette
Calling out my name

So close the door and lock it tight
Then I will know you're safe tonight
Turn on the song that means the most
Believe I'm there and hold me close

Close the door, lock it tight
Then I'll know you're safe tonight
Turn on a song that means the most
Believe I'm there and hold me close

She is in my bloodstream, tonight she's draining me
The room is filled with reds and blues
I follow as she leads into the darkness
Drying up my veins, she's a ghost, a silhouette
Calling out my name

Review about Dead In The Water

Suicide | Reviewer: DanielleEpiphany | 7/8/09

I think people should be more serious about music, nobody really cares if this bad "rox your sox"
But this song has a quite serious tone, and relating it to myself, I think it about a man who loves a woman but she is just out of reach forever. I think it is about suicide. That may be from my own personal experience. I had tried to kill myself in the very way they describe. Overdose. And every night in the hospital recovery unit I would cry and just pretend my boyfriend was there, even though he left me.

dont hate mother fuckers | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/13/09

Huh? | Reviewer: Kat | 10/6/08

See, I loooovvveee this song.

The thing is, is that everyone says it's about drugs.... but it sounds like he's killing himself, you know? Cause he says, mixing the blood with oxygen, drying up my veins, I mean, hello. It sounds like he's pumping himself with air- therefore killing himself.

Anyways- sorry about my rant.
But I love love this song! It's one of my favorites by them.

Hmm.. | Reviewer: daynaa; xx | 1/31/08

I really love this song. Guys, check it out. I mean seriously. Im so so so so sad about Casey Calvert. Hawthorne Heights will never be the same without their screamer/guitarist. Its been 2 months and I still bawl my eyes out and cut so deep when i hear Casey's voice.

I love this song. I just started listening to it today, but it's on repeat. Now I know all of the words to. I'm not the biggest fan of Hawthorne Heights, but I love this song. It makes me sad that their guitarist Casey died though. =[

the song is about heroin addiction and all you little 12 year olds who can relate to it have no idea what your talking about

Suprisingly... | Reviewer: Bones | 6/18/07

I don't really like HH...but for some reason I'm addicted to Dead in the Water and Blue Burns Orange.

If they got rid of the throat it'd be a lot better. Cause, honestly...not trying to be mean...I'm a girl that's been singing throat for less than four months. I can do better.

Awesome | Reviewer: Dusk | 5/1/07
