Decembers Lyrics

Review The Song (30)Print the Lyrics
Let's try to remember these days back in December.
Our lives were very different, I was lonely when we first met.
A small upstairs apartment, driving through the darkness
To get back home before they knew you were even gone.

You don't have to speak because I can hear your heartbeat.
Fluttering like butterflies searching for a DRINK.
You don't have to cover up how you feel when you're in love.
I always know I'm not enough to even make you think.

Please slow down girl.
We're moving way too fast for their world.
We've gotta make this last.

I miss you so much, a self inflicted coma
The days drag on like marathons,
I'm running with barefeet.
And when I feel the stress, I'm lonely and depressed
I picture you in the dress
You wore four weeks ago.

I know it hurts to feel so all alone.
I'm by myself, more than you could know.

If only they were all alone.
They were all alone.

Please slow down girl.
We're moving way too fast for their world.
We've gotta make this last.

Slow down girl.
We're moving way too fast for their world.
We've gotta make this last.
I know it hurts to feel so all alone.
I'm by myself, more than you could know.

If only they were all alone.
They were all alone.
They were all alone.
They were all alone.

This song is so pretty, it always makes me cry. And it's sooo different from all HH's other stuff. It just shows what good artists they are, they can do really screamo heavy stuff and then come up with something cute like this. They truly rock.

Well, I can't decide if I like the song or not, but I don't get why I keep playing it... it's weird, really. It's got its own appeal to it, and it didn't quite make me cry or anything, but it's a sweet song, and it's kind of a shock transition when you're listening to this band, this SONG on an ipod and then BAM! The next song comes on and it's their usual stuff.

Yes, another......... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/9/09

Yeah. I seen all the comments. Yes this one is very similar. But first, hate'n better stop. This is a comment board. We can basicly share whatever we'd like to say. YES THIS SONG BRINGS TEARS TO MY EYES. Yet no, I did not meet my lovie in December. December reminds me of cold. Meaning a cold state of mind. How I'd be lonley before I met my lovie. This song makes me feel hallow, yet I do not understand why I play it over and over. I love Hawthorne Heights, and just a tad upset there is no "screemo" involved is some parts. But I feel this song should still be reconized. Blahblahblah. My point is great song. My other point goes to haters. This song has much feelings behind it and to the people that add personal meanings. So before you open your mouths and say something like "your all emo queers need to stop crying", they should really understand that. GOD DAMNIT ITS A EFFN COMMENT BOARD! There are actual people that take some time to read other expirences and your comment is hurtful, and a waste of space.

usually bands are just good either lyrically or muscially. HH is one of the very few who have both . they have INSANE lyrics , and amazing beats to match . this song makes me wanna cry , its so cute .

Ok I'm a guy >.>
But I fucking love this song. I fell in love with this girl during December, and even though it ended up not working out because she said she wanted to go out with me but then changed her mind *cough BITCH cough* Anyways this song is really emotional and it's not screamo or hard rock like HH usually does, it's soft and really emotional. Love this <3

I know its been said... | Reviewer: JG4CH | 5/28/09

I got with my first love in December. i had knew him a while but i have social phobia, so didnt know many people. Its so true when it talks about being lonely and meeting in December. We broke up in June 2008 after 6 months together. This wasnt OUR song but its the one song that hits me hard when i hear it, it reminds me of him. I have a new boyfriend now and this song still hurts, but i cant stop listening.

This song means so mcuh to be and its so well written, with loads of emotion. I relate to the people crying, i cried first time i heard it after the break up. This song shall always have a place in my heart.

Wow.. so I've seen a few reviews saying that this was theirs and the one they loved or love's song.. I can relate. This was one of my first love and I's song. It means the entire world to me. Cos ironically, too, we met sometime around December.. December's really when I lost him, I believe for the first time. Maybe second.. not quite sure. Lots of on/off things going on back then in '05. But he's still in my heart to this day and I'm still in love with him. Even though it's been an entire year since I've truly spoken with him... I miss you, boy. Let the memories live on. <3

umm..yea | Reviewer: Lizi | 12/29/08

ok the song is really great but im not into the whole crying thing. hawthorne heights is a great band but my favorite is still Atreyu. I've got to say though it is nice listening to a band that doesnt say Shawdy every fucking third or fourth word. Who listens to that crap?

wow | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/5/08

your all emo queers and need to stop crying. its a great song and i really liked it until i started to read all of the shit about how it made you cry and all that crap. if i had to guess your a bunch of little middle schoolers who find it amusing to state the obvious and then pretend that they know everything. you all need to shut up no one gives a crap we can figure out what the song means on our own and if we cant then we shouldn't be able to get it.

wow..... | Reviewer: Christine | 11/29/08

Once you actually listen to all the songs one after another and actually contemplate what is going on it is really, really depressing... kinda makes me wanna cry. :( Specially since their whole CD is about how two people fall in love when they are young, one must move away, and now this (the lyrics) are the story. They go through so much. I wonder if they made it?
