Don Philip was born 23 years ago in Miami, Florida. He
discovered his love of singing while attending church with
his mother. Consequently, Don's vocal style quickly echoed
the gospel stylings of his favorite classic artists such as
Hezekiah Walker and Shirley Caesar. The first song Don ever
learned on his own was "Hey Baby, I'm The Telephone Man,"
which he performed at home at age 3. He also cites the
Stevie Wonder song, "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" as a
major influence, since he remembers his mother singing it
to him while he was still a child. Don began his
professional singing career while still in high school. He
formed a three-piece group with two other male friends, and
together they traveled around the Miami area entering high
