Traveling swallowing Dramamine
Feeling spaced breathing out Listerine
I'd said what I'd said that I'd tell ya
And that you'd killed the better part of me
If you could just milk it for everything
I've said what I'd said and you know what I mean
But I still can't focus on anything
We kiss on the mouth but still cough down our sleeves
Traveling swallowing Dramamine
Look at your face like you're killed in a dream
And you think you've figured out everything
I think I know my geography pretty damn well
You say what you need so you'll get more
If you could just milk it for everything
I've said what I said and you know what I mean
But I still can't focus on anything

i just wanted to let you know, ''you think you've figured out everything, well i think i know my geography pretty damn well'' is my favorite line. If you're into deep, abstract, beautiful, meaningless lyrics, check out the defunct band Bear vs. Shark.

Never heard the song, but Dramamine and alcohol was one of the best trips I ever had. Soooooo pleasant! It was found mistakenly when I took Dram on a boat trip and was drinking heavily. FUN TIMES!!!

I totally feel this song, dramamine has been somewhat of a downfall for me. It made me so fucking sleepy I wanted everyone out of my house so I could sleep. After I used it when I smoked I couldn't think straight.

Being the first song off of MM's debut album, this should prove as no surprise that is is one of magnificent proportions. I love how others have posted how beautiful it is to them, I wholeheartedly agree. My favorite part of the song is the line "we kiss on the mouth but still cough down our sleeves" it is just so blunt and reflective in the same time, it can only be done my Modest Mouse. They are leagues ahead of anyone.
Glad to see others loving this so much as well... | Reviewer: Forest | 4/10/08
Years ago, this came up on my ipod for the first time while driving down a long stretch of high-desert highway. I was on the way home after a perfect road trip with the wife. It was warm, but cloudy and when this song came on my mind just freaking shut off. It took everything I had not to break down. This song is so painfully perfect.
Now, that wife, is my ex-wife. I threw this song on just now and realized I didn't know the words to two of the lines "And that you'd killed the better part of me - If you could just milk it for everything" Now that i know the lines, this song is haunting me again. So absolutely beautiful.
this is preaty much one of the best songs ever i really lime how the lyrics start it off but its not quit done but there is nothing cool or mind blowingly awsome about the rest but some how..it still is

I've often found similarities in Black's and Brock's singing styles too. They both aren't afraid to rock out as well.

the song sounds like a reenaction of the high you get from the drug, and that's the beauty of music.
