The textbook definition of perseverance is to remain steadfast and stay the course despite being faced with extreme obstacles. But if you look up the term in a musical dictionary, it may just have a picture of Omaha, Nebraska based hard rockers Emphatic beside it. The group have persevered through countless storms and let nothing stand in their way of bringing their brand of melodic hard rock to the masses.

Just a year ago the future looked blindingly bright for Emphatic, as their major label debut album "Damage" was climbing the Billboard Heatseekers charts and the group's single for "Bounce" was climbing up the rock radio charts. With the band about to head out on the road as a part of the Carnival Of Madness Tour alongside rock heavyweights Theory of a Deadman, Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry, and Adelitas Way, Emphatic were on the rise when tragedy struck. The group's frontman suffered a career halting injury when he fractured his larynx, leaving them without a singer and threatening to tear everything apart that they had worked so hard for.

"This band has seen its share of difficult situations and for me I was the guy that had to decide to give up or fix what was broken. Music is in my blood so giving up isn't an option," says guitarist Justin McCain. "After making that decision to continue we found our new singer Toryn, and he was everything I've ever wanted in a frontman. The record is a reflection of the trials and tribulations we went through as a band over the past couple of years."

Frontman Toryn Green has had his fair share of success in the hard rock world as the leader singer of mult-platinum rock band FUEL, and the touring singer for Apocalyptica. Green was selected our of thousands of auditions to replace Brett Scallions as the new vocalist in Fuel. Green wrote and recorded the band's fourth album "Angels & Devils" for Epic Records and made appearances in The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. When Fuel went into hiatus in 2008, Green joined Finnish cello rock band Apocalyptica as their touring lead vocalist on both US legs of Worlds Collide tour, and was the group's vocalist for their US television debut on NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly.
Armed with a new dynamic singer, Emphatic were determined to rise again. The band entered Validus Recording Studios in Los Angeles and began recording their sophomore album with their backs up against the wall. The band came together and poured their energy their new album "Another Life", which is scheduled for an August 28th release via Epochal Artists/Capitol Music Group. The album is a story of triumph in the face of adversity that scream with intensity on the record's eleven tracks.

Produced by Emphatic guitarist Justin McCain, who founded the band and is the principle songwriter, "Another Life" showcases the band's newfound sense of maturity and creative firepower as they belt out a powerful dose of groundbreaking hard rock. Rejuvenated creatively, the band is now firing on all cylinders with a line-up that matches the intensity of their songs. "Another Life" is filled with gigantic hooks, powerful melodies and is an inspiring triumph over adversity. The first single of the record, "Remember Me" is climbing the charts quickly.

"The reality is that great songs are great songs, regardless of the genre, demographic, or how much distortion are on your guitars. We were on a mission to create the best songs and create the soundtrack to people's lives," said vocalist Toryn Green. "If you have songs that can connect with people, and those songs help create strength, hope, direction and loyalty within every listener, then you know you've done something right. The music will never die and with everything this band has endured and overcome in the past few years, Emphatic is living proof of that."
