The Equinox ov the Gods first saw the light of day back in
1990. The band was formed by Fredrik Wallin and Melker
Ryymin with the vision to create music unaffected to time
and trends. The name was taken from a book written by the
infamous Brittish poet/occultist Aleister Crowley.

The first demo, entitled "Songs from the Hill of the
Heartless Giant", was released 1992. This early recording
was followed by the demos "Watch the Shadows Dance" (1993)
and "This Sombre Dreamland" (1994). During this period the
line-up was changed a couple of times. However the core
consisting of the founding members remained intact.

In 1995, the band established contact with the Greek
company Unisound Records LTD which resulted in
participating in the compilation CD "Into the
Catha More...
