The Ideal girl in London from France
Came over then left me
She left me entranced
Now I have to get by once again on my own
Nothing but memories
So I remember your eyes that unique shade of brown
While these blue eyes of mine they stay closed
I kissed you goodbye
On the N109 I choked as I watched the bus go
Choking and smoking to your angelic soul
choking and smoking myself into a hole
Where the only way out is to sleep and to dream
And to cry out your name.

Review about France <3 | Reviewer: Calli | 1/19/2008
Wonderful, wonderful song.
Peter didn't write it, for those who are saying he did. It was definitely Carl. Peter has done versions of it, but the only recording I know of him doing it's a live one from Jazz After Dark. The Baby Shambles sessions in New York were done by the Libertines, not Babyshambles.
Pete D | Reviewer: Ziggy | 10/1/2007
Great song, but it was Pete who wrote it he also recored it during the babyshamble sessions in new york

It's obviously not Pete who's singing it, unless Pete somehow accumulated a pair of blue eyes?
I like this song, I like how on the album it transists into Never Never.
Which is also Grrrreat.
Its Carl Barat singing the song not Pete, he wrote it as well. Class song.
Love it | Reviewer: Chris | 9/21/2005
How can you not love this song, it's got emotion, Doherty seems coherent for a change and the song just makes you want to sit back and chill!
