And when we get home, I know we won't be home at all
This place we live, it is not where we belong
And I miss who we were in the town that we could call our own
Going back to get away after everything has changed
'Cause you remind me of a time when we were so alive
(Everything has changed)
Do you remember that? Do you remember that?
(Everything has changed)
'Could you help me push aside all that I have left behind
(Everything has changed)
Do you remember that? Do you remember that?
So we stand here now and no one knows us at all
I won't get used to this
I won't get used to being gone
And going back won't feel the same if we aren't staying
Going back to get away after everything has changed
'Cause you remind me of a time when we were so alive
(Everything has changed)
Do you remember that? Do you remember that?
(Everything has changed)
'Could you help me push aside all that I have left behind
(Everything has changed)
Do you remember that? Do you remember that?
Taking up our time
Taking up our time
Taking up our time
It's taking up our time we can't
go back, we can't go back at all
It's taking up our time we can't
go back, we can't go back at all
It's taking up our time we can't
go back, we can't go back at all
It's taking up our time, taking up our time
'Cause you remind me of a time when we were so alive
Do you remember that? Do you remember that?

Review about Franklin St. Louis | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/5/09
Paramore has found a way to vent its love for its town. They love Franklin almost as much as I love St. Louis, MO. Poor band... on the road all the time, and hardly at home. They have all my sympathy. The music itself is a piece of all the beauty in this sorry world. Keep rocking!

First, to "Grammar Whore" some people that come on this site are dyslexic and possibly foreign. So shut up before you start making smart arsed comments.
Second, I adore this song. The song sounds like the whole band is just remeniscing, it makes me think of really happy times. It's strange how it just makes me do that without me consciously wanting to. I adore it so so much <3
this song is so beautiful...it takes my breath away how deep and how relatable the lyrics of this song is. i think many of us can remember a time we'd like to go back but the never-ending hands of time stops our memories and reminds us of our present, sometimes i wish things wouldn't change... i <3 paramore

I... I think everyone can relate to this song.
I've lost so many friends. And it REALLY hurts. And now I'm at a new school level, and I've made great new friends, and I love them. But a few of them are going away for a year as exchange students, (people I've JUST gotten to know properly) and I'm going to miss them so much. And I'm really scared that maybe they'll be completely different people when they get back. And I've lost so many friends already, and absolutely HATE the idea that I might lose these.
This song is wat im going through, alot of you cried, but im not going to anymore, this maes me happy knowing other peoples have been through the same pain, & i know it'll get better for us, i know it. Yeh, i kinda dont want to say why & how eveything changed, but it did. i love paramore, there lyrics always talk for me when i can't x

The person below me is too illiterate for me to concentrate on the lyrics. I believe we should ban her from ever writing any other review on any song, thank you for reading.

"Once Up On A Time..." | Reviewer: Will | 4/2/09
This song...it's..just amazing, I can relate to it so easily, as I've been living in Eastern Europe with my family for just over 2 years now, I had to start a new life, new school, language, new everything, and the people don't want to accept me, everytime I make an effot to try and speak to them, they push me away, because of who I am, and where I'm from. I recently went back to my home town, and everyone's moved on, and I was still clinging to the hope that everyone I loved wouls still be there, friends, family, ect ect, and nothing was the same...EVERYTHING had changed, it wasn't the same place, the comforthad lost since left, and the people, to them, I was once again a stranger. "I won't get used this..."
