G4’s excitement is practically tangible. Despite an action packed six months the group’s enthusiasm about their future as much as their past is written all over their faces. After a spectacular rise to fame, G4, are currently in the studio working on their self-titled debut album. Classically trained, the four-piece vocal group, wowed a captivated audience week after week on The X Factor with their highly original takes on seemingly untouchable pop classics. Performances of, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Everybody Hurts’, ‘Creep’ and ‘Nessun Dorma’, established them as true one offs and despite coming out of the competition in second place, the act were undoubtedly one of the artistic success stories of the series. Despite being dismissed by some of the critics, their debut album has done fantastically well, selling 250,000 copies in its first week. I've seen them sing live a couple of times and all those people who dismiss them should really try and do the same. Their album and Tv performances are all absolutley brilliant but singing live -it's truely astonishing. They have been slated for their cover of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody but both Brian May and Rodger Taylor think it's really great -Brian May even wants to record a collaberation with them. They are 4 extremely gorgeous and intellagent young men and just because they sing classically dosn't make them stuck up and posh. To all those people who havn't heard them, please don't just dismiss them because it isn't your type of music -ordinarilly, it isn't mine either.
