1990-1991

God Forsaken was formed in December 1990 by Mika
Hankaniemi, Juha Pohto, Juha Köykkä and Hannu Kujanen. Back
then we called ourselves as "PUTRID" and putrid we really
were!! We put out our first demo titled "Exhumation" and a
7" EP "God Forsaken" during 1991. These releases aren't
available anymore.

1992

It became obivious that we had to change the bands name to
something else. We chose God Forsaken. It suited much more
better to discribe our music which also changed from DEATH-
to DOOM METAL. First full lenght albun came out on winter
1992. Titled as "Dismal Gleams Of Desolation" it has 8
songs. Lyrics dealed with sadness, solitude etc. At that
time we tried to play with two guitarists but Olli Kajander
just wasn`t the man and we decided to stay More...
