After a decade of drumming for thrash metal legend
"Slayer", Dave Lombardo left them in 1992 for personal
reasons and to pursue the birth of "Grip Inc."

The first member to join Lombardo was Gus Chambers, who's
most famous gig other than Grip was "21 Guns"-he played
with numerous British punk rock bands throughout the '80s.

The next member was ex-Overkill guitarist Bobby Gustafason;
but unfortunately, within a few months, they realized that
his ideas were different than Dave's. Dave then met
Waldemar Sorychta while working on the Voodoo Cult
Project-best known for playing guitar in the speed metal
band Despair. He also produced albums for bands such as
Tiamat, Unleashed, Samael, Asphyx, The Gathering, Moonspell
and Sentenced..
