Buddies Jeff Schartoff and Scott Ellis thought up Human
Waste Project while on a road trip to catch one of the
Lollapalooza shows. Drafting champion shreiker Aimee Echo
into their effort, the band then searched their native
Huntington Beach, Ca scene for a guitarist who could mosh
the line between Alternative Rawk and Metal. Guitarist John
Monte tried out and seemed a tight fit, but soon
differences in style soon became apparent. The trio tried
and discarded many a wannabee before at last lucking out
with transplanted Bronx axist Mike Tempesta.

Once they got busy getting busy, Human Waste Project
quickly found themselves recording and playing the college
