I feel it all, I feel it all
I feel it all, I feel it all
The wings are wide, the wings are wide
Wild card inside, wild card inside

Oh I’ll be the one who'll break my heart
I'll be the one to hold the gun

Can I know more than I knew before
I know more than I knew before
I didn't rest, I didn't stop
Did we fight or did we talk

Oh I’ll be the one who'll break my heart
I'll be the one to hold the gun

Can I love you more
I love you more
I don't know what I knew before
But now I know I want to win the war

No one likes to take a test
Sometimes you know more is less
Put your weight against the door
Kick-drum on the basement floor
Stranded in a fog of words
Loved him like a winter bird
On my head the water pours
Gulf stream through the open door

Fly away, fly away <Try to make the world you want to make>

I feel it all, I feel it all
I feel it all, I feel it all
The wings are wide, the wings are wide
Wild card inside, wild card inside

Oh I’ll be the one who'll break my heart
I'll be the one who'll break my heart
I'll be the one who'll break my heart
I'll end it, though you started it

The truth lies
The truth lied
And lies divide
Lies divide

Review about I Feel It All

Love it | Reviewer: Bernie | 12/19/08

I'm a songwriter-hopeful. I think this is a beautiful song. I love her oh oh (octaves are beautiful) and voice in general. Love her I feel it all - HAH!! She's spirited.
The song seems nicely constructed.
I love the female alternative scene - much creativity and freshness of sound and lyric.
Thanks for the inputs on lyrics, I try to write 'em but I am kinda thick on interpreting them. Think others nailed it here. What is that gulf stream reference? It seems like she was wandering around reflecting and fidgeting with thoughts and surroundings and wrote them down. Many lyrics this way. Many seem to be purely feel or like stream-consciousness with emphasis on sound of words and fitting the music. It is hard to put 'em together sometimes. This "brand" of music has been popular for a long time. Sometimes I like it, sometimes not. Some people just use it to cheat and sound deep - even, dare I say, Bernie Taupin's often strike me that way. Not to deny his talent (eg-Tiny Dancer early on).
Appreciate any feedback.

I think you're all getting it wrong. | Reviewer: Matt | 1/9/08

This song really hits home for me.

Because something really awful can happen, and even though you have a great boyfriend/girlfriend, you are still numb from what happened. And after you broke up with him/her, you FEEL IT ALL. You begin crying over the most random things, and you feel really sad, and you begin to feel things again. So, these lyrics make so much sense to me, that it makes me wonder why it doesn't make sense to other people.

Three octaves? | Reviewer: CynicalGrey | 12/4/07

More like her voice is in one octave and in harmony. When I read reviews like this that don't interpret the lyrics, I giggle at people's abuse of musical terminology. Most people are lucky to get a full three octaves in their voice much less sing in tune with themselves in those three octaves.

I really dig this song. I think she sings of the feelings you get right after a breakup, how you are breaking your own heart with your thoughts, continually questioning what happened, but she is fighting it by saying she will end it (since she feels the other won't or can't).

a mistake...maybe | Reviewer: david | 10/26/07

iam not sure, but hear this again;
I don't know what I knew before
But now I know I want to win the war
...i think its wrong, it could be;
I don't know what I knew before
But now I know I want to win a award

...maybe

...or ?

I don't feel it all... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/8/07

While at work we are forced to listen to satelite music and I feel it all is one of the most overplayed songs on that station. Although I feel like killing myself in the middle of the song when she oh, oh, oohs down about three octaves at a time, the song has some catchy parts. I really like her voice but hate the choreography of the tune. It is broken up and hard to listen to.
