Founded by Boston, Massachusetts, USA punk legend "Sweet'
Pete Mahler, In My Eyes brought together members of local
bands, Ten Yard Fight and Fastbreak. Influenced by 7
Seconds, Minor Threat and Youth Of Today, it was In My
Eyes" intention of forming an 80s-style straight edge
hardcore band as an antithesis to the growing trend for
metallic hardcore. Mahler along with Neal St. Clair
(guitar), Anthony Pappalardo (guitar), Damian Genuardi
(bass), and Luke Garro (drums) set about recording a demo
to capture their polished interpretation of traditional
hardcore. On completion of the demo, In My Eyes then did
all they could to distribute it as far and wide as
possible, including a self-financed tour of the west coast.
